Hearing the news felt like a bolt of lightning.

I had never doubted the existence of that so-called client, but now, to hear the truth?

Meanwhile, Harold seemed ecstatic. He grabbed my hand, tears almost welling up in his eyes. "My innocence has finally been proven!"

I pushed him away, turning to face Bethany. Her face was flushed, and my voice trembled as I asked, "Bethany, why…"

Why would she fabricate this entire charade? Was it just to force me into a divorce, or was there another company behind this, trying to sabotage Tensor's growth?

Bethany suddenly raised her head, her glare filled with intense hatred.

"Why?!" she spat. "You have the nerve to ask me why?

"I liked Harold first! If you hadn't butted in, I'd be the one married to him!"

I stared at her, stunned. I could barely believe what I was hearing. "What did you say? You like Harold?"
