Chapter 6 It's Too Late

"The meeting is about to wrap up. They want details on the cooperation on new technology. Can you send me a copy of the document?" Grady's voice sounded tired.

Melissa coordinated with him professionally. She even acted considerate and told him to rest well.

Then, she glanced at me out of the corner of her eye and said with a smile, "Grady, a woman had caused a scene in your office today. She claimed to have your child. What should I do?"

Hearing her words, I bit my lip hard and felt hatred consume me.

As I expected, Grady went silent for a moment before saying in disdain, "Do whatever you need to do. Don't let it get big."

'How ironic,' I thought.
