Chapter 5 Being Cornered

"What's wrong? All I'm doing is teaching a delusional woman her place. Mind your own business." Melissa smiled sweetly, but her words were venomous. "Whitley, did you forget who helped you cover your mistakes years ago? If you still want to become the chief secretary, I advise you to think before you act."

Then, I saw Whitley clench his fist before slowly releasing it.

"Whitley! Say something! I am Mrs. Winters. You can't just stand by and do nothing!" Tears began to stream down my face while pain pulsed through my abdomen.
