"We're not getting divorced. Just give up on that. If Aiden's spirit is watching over us, he wouldn't want to see us separate. We'll have more children," Logan said.

I slapped him as I shouted, "You're a monster! Get out!"

I kicked and shoved him out of the house, rage boiling inside me. How could he say something so revolting? Without hesitation, I had my lawyer file the papers. Until the divorce was finalized, I wouldn't let Logan have a single moment of peace.

Right after Logan left, Claire asked me to meet. When I reached the cafe, she sat across from me with her hand resting on her stomach, a smug smile on her face.

"I suggest you stop clinging to him," she said. "I saw the messages you sent him last night. Shayla, it's pathetic how miserable your life has become. Your son is dead. If I were you, I wouldn't want to live anymore." She then added with a smirk, "You're not getting any younger. Just walk away with some dignity. Logan and I are going to have children together."
