Chapter 02

“Is it true what you say, Alex?” asked Alvin William and Brianna William together.

Yes, they are Alex's biological parents and Alex is their only son. That means, Alex is part of the Robertson family.

Brianna held the phone to her and Alvin's ears so they could hear Alex at the same time.

“Last night when everyone was sleeping, I cut the brakes on Chris' car. So, he had an accident on his way to school this morning because he and his family didn't know that his car's brakes weren't working.”

“I don't think that's the right way to go, Alex. There are a lot of guards and maids at their house. What if one of them saw you going into the garage? It could easily have been for the Herberts to know that you broke Chris' car brakes.”

“That's not going to happen, Dad. I made sure that none of the maids and guards saw me enter the garage and did that. Don't worry, Dad. Of course, before I act, I always think first so that my plan goes smoothly.”

Alvin and Brianna immediately laughed happily when they heard that their son had started to take revenge on the Herbert family, which they hated so much. Alex also laughed because the suffering of the Herbert family was happiness for them.

Currently visiting room is very quiet. So, they could freely talk about revenge and laugh at the Herbert family.

“Then what is your next plan, my son? Surely you will make Chris die, right?”

“Of course, Dad. He will be the first member of the Herbert family to die at my hands. Now I'm thinking of a way to kill him. I promise I will come back here with the news of his death.”

Alvin and Brianna smiled proudly at Alex who was willing to try seriously to carry out their wish.

One year after Alex was living in an orphanage. He was adopted as the only son by Mr. Justin William and Mrs. Luna William.

His initial name was Alex Robertson then changed to Alex William because he was part of the William family. Therefore, no one knew that Alex was the only son of the Robertson family. Everyone only knew he was the only son of the William family.

When Alex grew up, he started to find out information about the Herbert family. After getting that information. He decides to attend the same university as Adaline. He approached the woman and made her fall in love with him. After that, married her until now.

Of course, Alex has never loved Adaline. He marries Adaline to be able to avenge his family easily.

“Thank you very much, Alex. You already want to try to do your best according to Mommy and Daddy's wishes. Mommy only ordered one thing to you take good care of yourself and don't let your actions be known to other people. Mommy and Daddy don't want you to join us in jail.”

“Don't worry, Mom, Dad. I can eliminate the Herbert family without the knowledge of other people and the law,” replied Alex with a smile of conviction.

After being satisfied expressed his longing for his parents and talked about revenge. Alex returns to see Adaline and Mrs. Caroline at the hospital.

They sat next to the bed where Chris lay in a coma. Until now, they still feel sadness and worry for Chris.

“Honey, Mom,” Alex called as he got next to them.

Adaline ignored Alex's arrival. She kept silent while embracing Chris.

“Alex, you better take Adaline to a tourist spot so she can calm her mind. Mommy feels very uncomfortable seeing her crying all the time.”

“That's a good idea, Mom. Let's go to a tourist spot together! So that you can also calm your thoughts and feelings.”

“No, Mommy wants to stay with Chris. Please both of you go.”

“Honey, let's go have fun to freshen your mind!”

Adaline stared at her mother silently. After that, she accepted Alex's invitation because she didn't want to make her mother sadder.

“Which tourist spot would you like to visit, honey?” asked Alex when they got to the car.

“You decide that, honey.”

“Okay. How about we go to the beach? There we can enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean and nature. It can clear your mind and calm you down.”

“Sounds like fun,” Adaline said with a faint smile.

“Okay,” replied Alex with a smile and then drove the car to the beach in their city.

After traveling for an hour and a half. They arrived at the beach area they were headed for.

Alex then took Adaline to the highlands to see the sea and mountain views which of course look more beautiful when viewed from a height.

Upon arrival there. Adaline immediately took a breath of fresh air and smiled happily at the sight which was very soothing to the eyes. Finally, she could try to calm herself so as not to think too much about Chris's situation.

“You're right, honey. The view when seen above this plateau is very beautiful and the air feels cooler too,” said Adaline with a smile

“I'm happy to see you smile, honey. Please enjoy the view and the cool air.”

Adaline stepped closer to the edge of the plateau then closed her eyes and continued to enjoy the very cool air. While Alex, he looked around the surrounding area which was very quiet.

The situation on the beach at this time is very quiet because today is not a holiday. So most of the people are working and going to school.

Alex smiled after noticing there was no one else in the area they were in. He smiled because that meant he could carry out his stunt to kill Adaline. He had got a plan to kill Adaline on this beach while on the way.

“I think I have to thank your mother, Adaline. She gave me the idea to kill you on this beach,” said Alex in his heart.

After that, he slowly walked closer to Adaline with both hands ready to push Adaline into the ocean.

He knew Adaline couldn't swim. So, he was sure he could kill Adaline because Adaline would surely drown to death.

After Alex was already very close behind Adaline. He immediately moved his hand quickly to push Adaline. However, Adaline suddenly turned to face him.
