Chapter 65: Waiting
"Congratulations, Ms. Abejero . . . You're five weeks pregnant," Dr. Emerald greeted me—my OB-gynecologist. She then held out her right hand in front of me as a gesture to congratulate me.
I tearfully shook his hand and genuinely thanked her, "Thank you so much, Doc."
She smiled. "You're welcome. Anyway, I'll just prescribe you some vitamins and what you need to eat to keep you and your baby healthy."
I nodded and waited for her to hand me the prescription then bid goodbye to her before I left her clinic. I was about to go to the parking lot because Yvo was waiting there—as I told him earlier to just wait for me in the car, when I saw two familiar faces at the entrance of the hospital.
Chapter 66: LastrasWhen Yvo and I went down to the pool area of the beach house, we immediately saw Fellice there and a few other people who were busy tidying up the whole place.Yvo is assisting me on my back as we walked closer to his cousin. I just shook my head while looking at my best friend’s troubled face. She seems panicking and can’t calm her nerves. She went back and forth from one table to another just to make sure that all of those were in order. I laughed softly at her actions. She is really too excited about her own party. As we planned, some of her guests will arrive here today especially her closest friends and relatives. Then, the rest will follow to land here tomorrow morning because the party will start at lunch to evening—or probably until ever
Chapter 67: Dare“Thank you so much, Tito Morgan. I’ll call you again once I already got back to the city. Yeah. Okay. Bye.”I was half-awake when I heard that familiar voice that seems like he is talking to someone on the phone.I slowly open my eyes feeling a little bit groggy. And when my vision got clearer, I was welcomed by Yvo’s handsome face.“Hey, did I wake you up? How are you feeling?” he queried.“I’m feeling a lot better now. Who are you talking to earlier?”“It’s Detective Morgan.”“Oh.” My mouth went in agape as I remembered he still owe me an explanation earlier before I went to s
Chapter 68: Dream“Ouch! That hurts, Eli!” Yvo groaned when I intentionally pressed the cotton in his bruises with extra force.I am currently aiding him here in his room after he brawl into a fight with Cloud, just a moment ago. The latter is in the guest room together with my best friend and his other cousins.I glared at him. “Don’t complain to me. Because, in the first place, I won’t be aiding your bruises right now if you didn’t punch your cousin.”“But, he kissed you!”“For Pete’s sake, Yvo! That was just a dare!”“Dare my ass,” he hissed.I shook my head and just finished cleaning his wound. He might have drunk too much whiskey as he already lost his proper reasoning. He usually has cont
Chapter 69: DesperateWARNING: Mature content ahead (read at own risk!)Although my vision was blurry as my eyes glistened with tears, I still reached the beach safe and sound. I heaved a sigh of relief after realizing that I went too reckless and just put my baby in danger when I run out earlier."I'm sorry baby, Mommy won't do it again," I whispered while caressing my baby bump.I dried up my face then composed myself and looked around the area to find where exactly was Gavin. Then, my eyes landed upon the people that were gathering on the seashore and there seemed to be a commotion, I slowly walked towards them, taking careful steps this time."Excuse me," I mumbled and shoved the people away who
Chapter 70: ProposalWARNING: Mature content ahead (read at own risk!)My mind hardly fought not to respond to his fiery kisses. But my lips seemed to have a mind of their own that it moved out of my will—or maybe, I was just denying the fact that I want to kiss him back.I kissed him back with the same ferocity he is giving me. My mind lost its rational thoughts and just let my heart win at this insane moment."Ahmm . . ." I can't help but moan when he slid his tongue inside my mouth and fervently ravished my whole lips over and over again. It was as if we were so hungry to taste each other that we wouldn’t be able to part our lips if we hadn’t already run out of air to breathe.Chasing my breath, I looked directly into his d
Chapter 71: Torn "Hey..." The silence I was enjoying while I am sitting on the beach sand and gazing at the stars that are beautifully twinkling in the dark sky, was got ruined when I heard that deep baritone voice. I turned around to where it came from. My forehead creased as I gave Jash Cedrick a confused look when he was the one I saw that was standing behind me, while his hands were on his board shorts’ pocket and his gaze was just focused on the middle of the sea. Between Gavin’s friends, he is the one who is quiet and doesn't talk much to people. So, I am wondering now why he suddenly approached me and even sat next to me. "J-Jace . . ." I hesitantly mumbled, calling him by his nickname. "Hi, what is it? Do you need anything?" I added when I noticed the ser
Chapter 72: Gabriel"Love, please, wake up. I love you so much . . ."My heartbeat fastened and my blood seemed to come alive after hearing that voice. I feel like a sleeping beauty that woke up from a long deep sleep because of a kiss on the lips. The moment I open up my eyes, a white ceiling instantly appeared to me. And I winced in pain when my right hand ached after I tried to lift it up.I looked down to check into it and saw that my hand was attached to an IV fluid. It was only then that I realized where I was and unconsciously touched my belly when I remembered what had happened before I lost my consciousness.Oh, God! My baby. . ."My poor angel. . ." I mumbled in a trembling voice while caressing my baby bump, hoping that
Chapter 73: Acceptance Moments later, I felt him slowly put me down on the couch. I opened my eyes and I saw him sitting beside me. I looked away when I noticed him smirking at me. I know he will just tease me about what happened to us earlier in the comfort room. So, to escape from my embarrassment, I leaned my head onto his shoulder and clasped our hands. Later on, he kissed my temple which made my lips curve up. We then fell into silence but unlike what I have felt earlier with his twin, Gabriel, the atmosphere is not making me feel awkward. But instead, it is solemnness and I felt secure in his arms.
