Going Back There

IRIS'S POV:

A MONTH LATER:

“Fasten up your seat belts, we will be landing in a few minutes….” The hostess instructed and the kids were so excited that they returned back to their seats, grinning from ear to ear.

They were just like me. As much as I might travel to various countries for work and vacation, there was nothing beating the adrenaline and excitement that ran through my veins every time I was going somewhere new.

But not this trip though, I had been here and it just took my mind to the time I arrived here over nine years ago. I was happy, naive, speaking like a typical rich girl who didn't want anything from her parents, and oh….I was so not observant.

“Mummy, you look scared. Doesn't she?” Jason pointed out, then turned to Jamie for confirmation.

“Not really. She looks stressed though.” Jamie responded, and I just looked at them as they stared at me intently.
