3RD POV:“I'm sorry…my hands are a bit sweaty.” He mentally yelled at his sweat glands in the moment. But it was usually for when he was shy and nervous.“It's okay, Jason, it happens to all of us.” She chuckled and he laughed as well, relaxing at that information.“Well, Good luck out there. Hopefully you will be number 3 and I will be number 1.” She said and Jason responded, “We will see about that.”He smiled to himself as she walked off, thinking She's so cute but I need to focus and win. I will get to train under Jonathan Knight. He reminded himself anticipating meeting his idol.********TWO HOURS LATER:Sounds of violin bounced through the corner of the hall, a sound that will keep you anticipating and focused on the kids. The competition had begun over an hour and thirty minutes ago, and Jason had grinned from ear to ear when he saw everyone there cheering for him in excitement and reading the signs board from everybody's cardboard, and Mariana and Miguel stood up from their s
THAT SAME DAY:JONATHAN'S POV:After going on a break, the guests and I tasted each of the kid's meals. Some were just plainly…horrible and by the looks on their faces, they knew that as well. It was probably because they didn't expect what they were asked to prepare. I had almost barfed after tasting one of the “grandberry pie” one of the contestants made but Freda had just hurriedly handed me a napkin. When giving my review to the kids and telling the world what I thought about the creations, I refrained from saying too much. I loved kids and I know if I said much, I would be blunt and come off as mean to the rest of the world. There were about five of whom did extremely well and this last round was the top six to prepare my popular dish, Chef's Ris. I anticipated tasting and watching Jason Fletcher prepare it.He was simply outstanding and I hoped he would emerge as the top three. It was quite obvious that he would. He reminds me of myself at his age, focused on cooking and making
JONATHAN'S POV:Vee was getting a divorce from Tristan after he had walked in on her having sex with another man in their matrimonial bed. She treated him like he was the one in the wrong and it had been sad and hurt for a while now. But she still seemed to have a lot of demands for him nonetheless, but it seems like she's oblivious to the type of power his family yielded and the power my family and I held as well.Everyone at the table then turned to look at him with pity offering their apology while his mother still gave him a look of ‘I told you so.'Well everyone definitely told him so but things between them seemed perfect for over seven years. But it wasn't really.“That's enough about my brother. Let's make a toast to my other brother, Jonathan Knight, creating opportunities for kids all over the continent and soon the whole world at large. You're an inspiration and role model to many and there would be another party thrown tomorrow to celebrate the conclusion because you truly
3RD POV:THAT SAME DAY:“Dante Jim in third place! HELENA BAKER in second place!” The crowd erupted in applause as Stephen listed out and their parents whooped and cheered, literally screaming and crying tears of joy.“Coming first place is…..” Stephen looked at each of the four contestants who had their eyes closed, hoping it was one of them. Except Jason, who matched the arrogance of his father, and stood confidently with his hands behind his back.“That boy is cocky as hell.” Robert muttered to all who were seated next to him and they chuckled, easing the tension they were feeling.Stephen smiled and looked into the camera and yelled into the microphone, “JASON FLETCHER!”The entire crowd clapped and cheered, Jonathan leaned back in his seat and watched Jason, who had a smirk on his face, walk forward to the banner by the edge of the stage which read in blue thick font, No. 1..Overall winner.Confidence at its peak. Amazing! Jonathan thought as he and the fellow judges stood up to
IRIS'S POV:AT MIDNIGHT:I walked into the kid's room, seeing the two of them passed out and completely drained from the events of today. Jason wouldn't quit rambling about how happy he was and I smiled, because I was truly happy for my son and Jamie was literally the best twin sister. The social media manager I hired on behalf of Jason, quit her job on the basis of trying something much better, and I didn't even know until my assistant notified me.It was good for both her and for Jamie, who had already gotten an endorsement deal for Jason.Though I was happy and we had round one of our celebrations at home, I couldn't completely be alright after what happened earlier.“Why are you still up?” I stepped into my room, seeing Mariana laying on my bed with her laptop in front of her. We had returned back to the mansion, where we were surprised by my father just landing with balloons and a banner which read, Congratulations Jason. The entire house was filled with drinks and just a few cu
IRIS'S POV: The two looked alike, so I assumed they were brothers and as I continued staring I remembered it was the guy who kept looking at me after we stumbled into each other the previous day. They were both handsome men, one who looked younger seemed so perplexed and the one who Emily had pointed out was a famous pianist, just had an emotionless look on his face.“Hi Mr Jonathan Knight. I am Jamie Fletcher, Jason Fletcher's twin sister. It's such an honor to meet you.” She stretched out her hand and my heart skipped a beat when he took her hand in his and looked at her with a warm smile on his face.“It's so lovely to meet you too. These are my friends, Tristan and Carl Whales.” He bent down to her height and she grinned cutely, and waved at the two brothers who smiled right back at her.“Well you will have to excuse us. It was lovely meeting you, Jamie.” Carl told her and she responded politely, “Likewise.”Jamie then turned to Jonathan,“We will be seeing each other a lot, so t
IRIS'S POV:THREE DAYS LATER:It has been over three days, and I haven't seen or heard from Jonathan Knight. In all honesty, I was both relieved and worried at the same time. I had also been having dreams about different sorts of ways he could get his revenge for my mistake. I, however, found it amusing that I thought he was a gigolo, when he was the son of a prestigious man in the world. We had been going out and touring around the city, still celebrating my baby boy's win. Emily and Sophie had work to do so they had traveled back, as well as my mum, Miguel and Mariana, who had been the first to leave. He had been so happy, especially after yesterday evening, we received an e-mail that there would be a small party for the top three contestants, meeting a group of important people in the hospitality industry and tycoons, entertainers and chefs from all over the world. Speaking and networking with the kids, I was amazed that at such a young age, there were opportunities like this for
IRIS'S POV:LATER THAT NIGHT:AT THE PARTY:The theme of the night was casual, so I had dressed Jason in a clean white shirt and gray pants with his hair let out and styled. I handed him a little Patek watch and applied a nice cologne for him. He looked very handsome and he knew it, as he wouldn't stop staring at himself in the mirror. Obviously excited to see his crush, Helena.“Mummy.” Jamie called out, as I wore diamond studded earrings for her again, while we walked towards the garden. She had picked out a yellow sun dress from Cleova's, an amazing child's brand. She carried her little Birkin bag and applied a strawberry scented perfume. She was not only smart but a fashion icon.“Never mind.” I glanced at her and saw her eyes were glued to her screen, like a true manager that she was. My parents also dressed casually, almost too casual, one would assume they were going to the beach. I just admired how much fun they had with one another and how my father obliged to my mother's wi
3RD POV:TWO WEEKS LATER:“You poisoned the kids? Did they die?” Loud questioning came from the abandoned duplex out of town, with little to no internet and power majorly supplied by the solar panel gotten from Iris's company. She packed up her hair in a messy bun and yawned, “I did and those little bastards didn't. You know I have always hated those two kids since I laid my eyes on them and it was going to be easier this way. Getting rid of them as well as having Iris crying her eyes out. It's so annoying seeing her grinning from all directions of the camera, I just wish I was able to stay longer and see the tears rolling down her fat cheeks.”She tossed the little transparent bag of poison on the table stand in her room while he sat on the bed laughing at her words while keeping his eyes on her as she stripped out of her clothes. “Well, as long as there are no cameras that capture your face, it's great to keep them on their toes and have fun with them. However, you need to keep me
IRIS'S POV:Now I felt totally horrible and I ran through my face, everywhere was as silent as a graveyard which was definitely a wrong comparison given the situation at ground. To make matters worse, some medical personnels came out rolling a covered body out but stopped when they saw us. I could hear a sniffle coming from someone which I would guess to be Sophie, she hated situations like this.“I'm so sorry.” I coughed out and he smiled tightly.“I totally understand and I'm sorry for all the trauma and pain I caused you in the past, and what Gabriel is doing to you and your family. You still hit as hard as before I see. “ He joked trying to lighten up the mood as he adjusted his suit, and there was a cut on his lip.“Thank you for the suit and for this hit. I needed it more than you would ever imagine.” He looked surprisingly sincere, looking so hurt and he walked off. I could feel everyone's eyes glued on me and waiting for my next move.I closed my eyes for a second before hurry
IRIS'S POV:THAT EVENING:“I came as soon as I heard and Bonnie stayed back with the baby. What are they saying?” Carl joined us in the hallway, greeting everyone who was just as anxious. I remained silent and to myself wiping away my tears, ignoring everyone's word of comfort and encouragement, just thinking long and hard of what had possibly gone wrong. As the twins were rushed in about thirty minutes ago, we all overheard the doctors and paramedic suggest that they were most likely poisoned and Jason's condition was more critical than Jamie. From where? By who? When? “I should have been more cautious and careful. If anything happens to them, I will never be able to forgive myself.” I thought outloud and placed my head in my hand, trying my best not to break down into tears and I could feel Jonathan's muscular arm instantly pulling me.“It's not your fault, Iris. They are going to be fine.” Mariana and Sophie said in unison, just like the twins and I imagined never getting to hear
JONATHAN'S POV:THAT SAME DAY:“Thank you, thank you so much, Sweetheart. This would have never happened without you.” I kissed my wife repeatedly on her forehead, cheeks, lips and neck and she giggled melodiously, looking so gorgeous. Whew…My wife is breathtaking. Even with little to no make up.“It's all you, love. You are so talented, passionate and amazing, it's only right you get your flowers and deal with whoever attempts to tarnish your image.” She spoke sweetly and I held onto her waist firmly, unable to wipe the smile on my face. The switch in people's words and reactions to me was quite amusing. My assistant had read what was being said now and I was just glad, the restaurant would continue receiving customers as this also affected the sales of the restaurant. “I love you so much, with everything in me!” I told her with absolute sincerity, and she cupped my cheek, pressing her lips on mine and kissing me softly.“I love you too, and the kids and I are so proud of you.” She
IRIS'S POV:“In the absence of any confessions or words from either of these great chefs. Let's begin….” The announcer stated, and began cutting down along with every other person in the audience as well as the kids who were just so energetic from all that sugar intake.“3….2….1…” And they began, grabbing their utensils and everything needed. The hall was not so large, it had a capacity of two thousand people because as soon as the tickets were out they were instantly sold out. Many referred to the competition as the ‘greatest battle of the sexiest chefs.’ And what was better than watching it in person…The hall was dimly lit, and the spotlights were on the contestants who had their eyes facing to the audience and the judges who also watched how they had prepared it. I wasn't even as tense as I should be, because one of the judges was present at the revealing of this new meal and he had been one who gave Jonathan thumbs up.But I feared whoever was behind bribing Chef Ryan could also
IRIS'S POV:A WEEK LATER:“Good morning everyone. I am Iris Knight, wife of Jonathan Knight and I will answer a few questions after sharing some words.” I spoke in a very assertive tone, speaking into the different microphones before me. “Chef's Ris was made inspired by me because I am my husband's taste, which is probably why a single bite of the meal will always make you moan or groan at its blended delicious taste. Chefs who have been in love could probably understand what I'm talking about. Chef Ryan who knows if he has or would ever experience the love Jonathan and I share, what if he truly has, won't it be great if he gathered with us by tomorrow night with it being publicly streamed, in order for the whole world to see the same passion and ease in his eyes as he cooks. We've all witnessed Jonathan Knight prepare this meal confidently for years, how come we haven't heard or seen Ryan Jared do the same? If he doesn't, it displays how much of a liar and fraud he is right?” I chuc
JONATHAN'S POV:A WEEK LATER:Bonnie had given birth to a baby boy, and though premature, all four of us had concluded that he was going to be so bad yet great like Carl was. If I hadn't admired Carl before then I totally did now, he had been making sure Bonnie was doing well after the surgery as well as questioning the doctors about the most minimal things everytime he goes online to read something about premature birth. He had also been flooding her with gifts and he shared with Tristan and I that it was finally time to get her the luxurious car she had requested for because she duly deserved it as his greatest fear which was losing her didn't come to pass. Iris also had been so attentive to Bonnie's needs, talking to her about her feelings and worries as a new mother and I had seen them both crying one time. It still broke my heart till this day that I was unable to be there for Iris and be by her side through postpartum.I just hope there will be a next time and I will be there.
JONATHAN'S POV:TWO DAYS LATER:“Jonathan Knight, are the rumors true?”“Chef Ryan has made a whole lot of allegations against you, what do you have to say?”“Are the Knights really thieves of ideas?”“Is this how you plan to portray yourself to your kids?”The paparazzi came all at once as Tristan and I exited out of my office, we ignored them and my security hurriedly pushed them back in order for us to walk past, handing us glasses which I was so thankful for because the cameras kept flashing repeatedly in both our eyes.We successfully entered my black SUV and I heaved out a breath.“What the hell?!” Tristan exclaimed as one of the female reporters clung out at him, preventing him from shutting the door.“Give us something…anything, Mr Knight. Just a word.” She pleaded, sticking her head through the door which was almost getting closed and my security carefully pulled her away.Tristan and I looked at each other after locking the doors and laughed out loud. My driver soon started
3RD POV:THE NEXT MORNING:“Good morning, Sweetheart.” Jonathan greeted Iris, kissing her forehead and she smiled weakly, sitting up watching him bring breakfast on a tray.Iris had already woken up a few minutes ago, and almost shed a tear out of anger at the trending headline all over every blog and the mean words being said about him, set to tarnish her husband's image. Ten minutes after Jonathan's interaction with the lady he suspected to be Scarlet, everybody in the entire hall and world got a notification which stated such defamatory remarks against Jonathan.Jonathan Knight, a role model to many and a successful chef, has been called out by Chef Ryan Jared as a thief who stole his popular delicious recipe for Chef's Ris. This proves Jonathan Knight is not a man of integrity and a thief! He literally forced his wife to marry him, he can coerce anyone to do anything and steal as well. Don't you think? It was uploaded on a blog and it got over fifteen million views in an hour. J
