ONE

The man sat stiffly in the corner of the room watching every movement his woman would make on the bed. But unfortunately until the seventh day since the terrible incident that happened to his woman, the man has not seen any signs that the woman will open her eyes and welcome him with love. The sound of groans suddenly heard from above the bed made Aciel alert and look warily at the object of the scene which was now starting to make small movements on the bed.

Full of antipathy, Aciel waited for his wife to open her eyes while clenching his fists full of emotions behind the pockets of his work pants which was already wrinkled on some sides because he had been sitting on the sofa for too long to wait for her to open her eyes.

It has been almost a week for Aciel to wait for Eden to open her eyes after his wife had an accident while shopping at the supermarket. His wife was hit by a car. At that time he— who was busy as usual, let his wife go to the supermarket with their private driver, because Eden was used to doing it herself without ever accompanying her.

But suddenly one calm afternoon, he received news that Eden was hit by a car and suffered serious injuries to the head, plus Eden was heavily pregnant at the time. Hearing the reports from his guys, Aciel immediately rushed over to see Eden's condition in the hospital.

However, when he arrived there the doctor said that Eden might be in a coma because she had a severe head injury and had to undergo surgery to remove the baby. Truly those were the toughest times for Aciel because he had to experience the most terrifying circumstances in his entire life.

Seeing Eden unconscious in the operating room and the sound of his baby boy crying loudly made Aciel feel his heart throb in pain instantly. Conversation after conversation about their baby-to-be made Aciel's bitterness even worse when the doctor gave the baby boy to him. He was finally able to accompany Eden during the delivery process, even holding their baby who was still covered in blood for the first time.

But that's not what Aciel wants, he wants to welcome the birth of their baby together with Eden's loving smile that always manages to warm his chest.

Finally, with uncertain feelings, Aciel decided to move Eden's care to the house. Various sophisticated equipment that was in the hospital was transferred simultaneously into his luxurious mansion. Whatever he did for the safety of his wife. And every day, when he returned from work, he would always be by his wife's side to give her strength so that she could survive for him, for their little family.

Aciel looked at his wife intently while standing next to the king-sized bed which was now filled with hoses and wires connected to his wife's body. The man looked quite impatient to see the moment his wife woke up from her long sleep, but even so he tried to be patient to wait for Eden to fully open her eyes and look at him with love, just like usual.

“Eden, how do you feel? Are you feeling sick?”

Eden was still trying to adjust the light of the lamp shining so brightly in her eyes as she slowly opened her eyelids. Sleeping for seven days felt like she had just risen from the dead. Her whole body felt stiff, and she couldn't move her joints easily. But slowly she kept on trying to see the caller who had been talking nearby.

"Eden... How do you feel?"

Eden's heart suddenly seemed to stop beating as she slowly began to recognize the caller's voice which sounded so familiar to her ears. She then began to open her eyes fully with a sudden feeling of anxiety surrounding her heart that made her feel pounding.

"Tell me how you feel, I'll call the doctor."

Aciel's fingers reached out to get rid of the strands of hair that dangled around the bandage that wrapped Eden's head. But quickly the small hand gripped Aciel's muscular wrist with a strong grip that made Aciel frown in displeasure.

"Do not touch me!"

Those weak but piercing words managed to make Aciel quite surprised by his wife's reaction to him. The man then stared back his wife's sharp gaze with a piercing cold eyes that usually managed to make anyone flinch at him. But this time the piercing eyes did not apply to Eden at all, because the woman looked even more daring, as if she was challenging him.

"Don't ever touch me you bastard! Let me go, you even just beat Anthony yesterday."

Aciel frowned not understanding his wife's words and began to lower his hand which had been hanging in the air from his wife's grip. But more than that, he didn't understand what she was saying. Moreover Anthony referred to by the woman had long left his wife's life since five years ago because the man was heartbroken. And previously, Aciel admitted that he had beaten Anthony. Long before he finally found happiness with Eden because of their marriage. But why after five years had passed, the woman was against him again?

"Anthony was long gone from your life after you decided to marry me." Aciel finally answered after a long time they were silent with each other with a sharp gaze piercing Eden that kept on aiming at him.

“Fuck! Motherfucker! What did you do to Anthony? You beat him so brutally that you nearly killed him that night. You evil! You damn bastard who should be out of my life!”

Unexpectedly Eden raged in front of him and almost cut the hoses and cables that were still connected to her body. Aciel swiftly held her hand in the air and immediately called the medical team who had been on guard for twenty-four hours at his house.

"Alex! Charles! Call the doctor!”

Not long after, a man in a white coat and several nurses entered the room where Eden was being treated, holding a syringe. Seeing Eden constantly struggling in Aciel's grip left the doctor with no choice but to give the patient an anesthetic. And moments later Eden's consciousness began to decay, and the woman slumped weakly in Aciel's warm embrace.

"What's wrong with her doctor? Why does she look like my wife five years ago?” asked Aciel angrily as he laid Eden back on her bed.

The old man then began to check on Eden's condition and also her heart rate which seemed to be stabilizing after previously showing a striking spike on the monitor located on the side of the bed occupied by the woman.

“We will conduct further assesment to determine what happened to Mrs. Eden, but it is most likely that Mrs. Eden is currently experiencing amnesia. Her memory is trapped in the past and makes her brutal to you. Maybe during the accident she had an impact that made her memories of the present erased.”

Aciel frowned disapprovingly of the doctor's explanation. He hated hearing the fact that his wife would go back to being as brutal as she used to be and would again bother him with all her barbaric behavior.

"Come out all of you! I don't want this baby, I want to abort it!"

Eden screamed hysterically in her room with five nurses who seemed overwhelmed to calm her who was on a rampage. Outside the room, Jimin looked panicked as he contacted Aciel to come immediately because Eden really couldn't be controlled any longer by the overwhelmed nurses.

“Get out of here, I don't want this baby. Just abort my baby right now."

Eden shouted again with all the tears that had flooded her thin cheeks. The woman looked so upset with the news of her pregnancy that had just been announced by the doctor who handled her. This is all really unexpected because she never thought that she would become pregnant with the child of the damn man she hated the most. It was enough that she had felt it once, now she didn't want to feel it anymore because she wanted to take revenge on him. She had so many plans in her head, and if she was pregnant, she could never avenge all her hatred for that bastard.

Eden tugged the hand of a nurse who was injecting a sedative into the IV until the nurse fell on her knees on the floor. Seeing that her space was a little free, she quickly took the fruit knife beside her bed and began to bring the knife to her stomach while threatening anyone who wanted to block her hand again.

"You fucking stupid! Do you think dying can solve everything? Don't hurt him just because you hate me. You may hate me, but you must not hate him that has never had any faults."

"This is all your fault, you who always raped me until all this happened."

"Eden, look at me!"

Aciel shook Eden's shoulder hard and forced the honey bead to stare at his brown bead which had been enveloped by a black mist of anger. He doesn't like seeing Eden hurt herself just because of a mistake they made. Even though he's a jerk, he doesn't like being a murderer for something who haven’t give birth yet.

“Stop acting stupid by trying to commit suicide. The baby is not wrong, it is you who is wrong for being careless not using contraception."

"So you blame me? You're blaming me after what you've been doing all this time? Hahahaha jerk! You are a jerk Aciel!”

Eden went on a brutal rampage while beating Aciel's chest. The woman this time seemed more emotional and out of control. But with all his strength Aciel managed to press Eden's body with his two hands, and after that he immediately gave a code to the nurses to give Eden anesthetic. For now, indeed, sedating Eden is the only way for that woman to be calm for a while.

“Shut up! You better sleep and clear your mind!" Aciel snapped hard while still pressing Eden's body. And Eden slowly felt her consciousness starting to disappear. Her eyes felt heavier and fainter over time. She could only vaguely stare at the face of Aciel who was staring at her with a worried look, and after that it was all dark. It was so dark that she could no longer see the bastard's face before her eyes.

He didn't even remember how many times Eden was against him at that time and almost committed suicide because he didn't want to let her go even though he had tried to offer a tempting compromise for Eden

Now he didn't know what to do. He was afraid that he would lose the happiness he had just felt for the past year with Eden. "Ciara wants mommy," said the girl innocently.

Aciel glanced back briefly with a sad look, then looked back at his daughter's face who was still waiting for his answer with round eyes that were very similar to Eden's.

Unexpectedly, Aciel called his household assistant to take Ciara away from Eden's room.

"Yes sir?"

"Take Ciara away, she shouldn't be near Eden for a while, she's not her mother."

“Daddy!!!”

Ciara screamed hysterically in Mary's arms who was about to take her away.

However, Aciel's sharp gaze at the servant made him tremble and he had to turn a deaf ear to Ciara's loud screams while sobbing in her arms.

As a servant, she is quite confused by every change in demeanor shown by her master so far. But since Eden came into this mansion, her master looks more human and also a bit gentle. But ever since the madam lay weak due to the accident that happened one week ago, her master had slowly turned into the cold and stiff man he used to be. But what worries her the most is the condition of Ciara and baby Louise.
