FOUR

The next day on a hot day, Eden was seen still sitting sluggishly on her bed after spending two hours of her time bathing and rubbing all the remnants of Aciel's touch on her body.

But unfortunately the man left so many missed marks that she couldn't easily remove them from her body. But last night's events made her more or less happy because the man had really kept his promise. She's no longer locked in her room, but she's been allowed to go out. But she felt that this afternoon the atmosphere in the house was very crowded because she had been hearing the sound of cars passing by below and also the sound of ceramic objects which had clashed loudly several times.

Knock knock

"Excuse me..."

A beautiful woman in a knee-length brown dress suddenly entered her room, smiling gently at her. The woman was followed by three women who looked like an employee behind her, and each woman carried a dress that was so beautiful and elegant. Then after receiving instructions from a woman who looked like their boss, the girls immediately spread the beautiful dresses on the bed while bowing respectfully to ask permission from Eden, who still looked amazed at them.

“Good afternoon Mrs. Eden, I am the designer asked by Mr. Aciel to do your makeup because tonight Mr. Aciel will have a party to celebrate your recovery and also the birth of your second son, Louise.”

At first Eden was surprised because she didn't expect a bad man like Aciel to bother to make her a party to celebrate her recovery. But a moment later she could smell the true fragrance of freedom through the party, if she could use the opportunity properly, she could get out of this house while the guests as well as Aciel were busy with a series of party events.

"Why is he throwing a party for me? I think that's too much." Eden's comment was flat.

The designer shrugged her shoulders not understanding, but after that she gave a slightly wise answer for Eden.

“Perhaps the party will be proof of how much Mr. Aciel loves you ma’am. Moreover, you have just woken up from a coma, it is certain that Mr. Aciel is very relieved by your return to this house.”

Eden felt like throwing up because she was tired of hearing all the humans in the house who kept on defending Aciel. Even though she was sure that there were many people who had been hurt by Aciel, including herself.

"Everyone in this house keeps looking at Aciel well, what did that guy do to you guys?" snorted Eden angrily.

The makeup artist was quite surprised by Eden's question because the woman did not know that Eden was experiencing memory loss. She thought Eden and Aciel were in a fighting mode so that Eden seemed to hate her own husband.

"What do you mean ma’am?"

"Never mind, it doesn't matter. You better just do your job well. Make me as charming as possible because today I want to surprise that arrogant man.”

Even though the makeup artist didn't understand the direction of Eden's conversation at all, she still nodded and started to make up Eden's face with the various expensive make-up she brought. While preparing all the makeup tools she brought, the makeup artist occasionally glanced at Eden, who was sitting restlessly holding her chest which seemed to have wet stains.

"What is it ma’am? You've been looking restless ever since."

“Eee… I don't know, my chest feels tight and hurts. Then this…” Eden hesitantly showed her two breasts which seemed to be showing wet stains.

Ever since she woke up from the coma, she started to feel something strange about her, but she didn't dare to say it to Aciel or the servants who often passed by in her room. She prefers to cover it up by arguing that she just wet her clothes while washing her face in the bathroom.

"It's always wet, and I don't know what causes it."

Seeing that, the makeup artist just smiled gently while rubbing Eden's back gently. She then asked one of the servants to go to Louise's room and take the little baby to her mother.

"It's okay ma’am, it's common for women who have just given birth. You should be grateful because you are blessed with abundant breast milk by God. There are a lot of women out there who can't produce as much milk as you, so they have to give formula milk to their babies." The makeup artist said softly.

For a moment Eden was only able to stand frozen in place without being able to utter a word. The fact that she had been denying since yesterday slowly made her feel scared. She feels that she is not ready to have children from Aciel, even Ciara's presence is still a big question mark in her heart.

“Ma’am...”

Eden's daydream was instantly shattered when she saw the reflection of a servant holding a tiny baby in her arms. The servant then smiled gently at Eden who was still silent in her place while bringing the baby closer to Eden.

“Ma’am, baby Louise misses you very much,” said the servant in a light voice without noticing the panic that was clearly printed on Eden's face when with a little coercion the servant carried his little son into her arms.

Eden's two hands unconsciously trembled violently and Eden was about to drop Louise if the servant's hand didn't swiftly hold Louise's right side.

"I... I'm afraid I'll hurt him." Eden muttered quietly with a sad look.

Seeing Louise who was opening his eyes in her arms instantly made Eden want to cry. Her heart ached for some reason, and finally she was only able to hug the tiny baby tightly while crying silently.

"It's okay ma’am, just take it slow. Right now Louise needs your breast milk, and you should also give it if you don't want to feel sick." the makeup artist gently helped Eden to breastfeed Louise for the first time while stroking Eden's shoulder gently to calm her down.

She thought Eden looked like that because she had just woken up from her coma. The make-up artist did not know that Eden was actually experiencing amnesia due to an accident that happened to her a while ago.

“Finally you met Louise.”

That cold and sharp voice suddenly startled Eden who was still trying to adjust to Louise's presence in her arms. Instantly everyone chose to get out of Eden's room and let Eden be with Aciel for a while.

“He was very small and fragile when he was born. I was even afraid to carry him when the doctor gave him to me at the time.” Aciel said while stroking his son's head gently.

There was a feeling of emotion that suddenly crept into Aciel's heart when he saw Eden breastfeeding Louise for the first time. Even though he knows that Eden still cannot accept all of that easily, he is grateful that Eden is still willing to breastfeed his son like other mothers.

"Say something Eden, I know you want to do it," said Aciel finally after he couldn't stand the silence that had surrounded them for a long time.

"What do you want to hear from my lips?"

"Anything, as long as we don't get caught in this sickening situation."

"Keep your voice down, he's sleeping." Eden replied coldly when she saw that the baby had closed his eyes tightly, but her tiny lips were still faithfully sucking her mother's breast to make his little stomach feel full.

"How do you feel?" asked Aciel more like a whisper after he took a chair and sat himself right next to Eden who was patting her little baby's bottom gently.

Maybe it's a kind of instinct, Eden somehow feels like doing it for the tiny baby who has now finished filling his stomach with her breast milk. He then immediately buttoned her shirt again without paying attention to Aciel who had been staring at her for a long time.

“I feel confused, and scared,” said Eden finally.

She no longer knows how to express her feelings at this moment, between fear, disbelief, confusion, all mixed into one. She wanted to deny that Ciara and Louise were not her children with Aciel, but seeing how Ciara's attitude yesterday or Louise clung to her very easily, it seemed that it was true that they were her children with Aciel.

But how can that be? It was one of the questions that had been bothering Eden ever since she woke up from her coma. She still couldn't believe the life she had spent so far until she finally made peace with him, even had the family she once wanted, but failed to get after she had a miscarriage.

“What you are seeing right now should explain everything Ed, you are my wife and mother of my children. There's nothing for you to be confused about anymore."

“But I have to find my own answer...” Eden said softly with a sharp glare at Aciel through the large mirror that stood firmly in front of her. "And that's in my own way." Eden added sharply before finally getting up to hand Louise over to his nanny.

That night, Aciel was seen busy in his yard to welcome the guests who came. Every guest who walks into Aciel's luxurious mansion looks so charming with a suit or dress that fits perfectly on their slender body. While welcoming the various guests who came, Aciel occasionally looked into the main room of his house to await Eden's appearance because according to one of his servants, Eden is now ready and just waiting for a call from him to come down.

"Sian, take my place to welcoming guests, I have to go to the podium to give a little greeting and call Eden to immediately come down from the circular staircase."

Sian nodded his head in understanding and gave Aciel an encouraging pat on the shoulder so that the party they planned could amaze Eden and make her realize how much he loves her.

With firm steps and full of authority, Aciel immediately went up to the podium to give a few words of welcome to all the guests who had attended the party tonight.

"Good evening and thank you to the attendees who have taken the time to come to this event. I held this party solely to welcome my wife's return from her long coma a few days ago and to welcome the birth of our second son. In this opportunity I will formally introduce my wife to all of you. Eden, come down honey."

Applause began to sound loudly after Aciel loudly called his wife to come down from the second floor. All eyes are now only focused on the marble white staircase that looks so beautiful with various kinds of flower petals decorated around the banister. And the seconds of Eden's descent from the second floor became too long for Aciel because Eden didn't come down even though he had called the woman two minutes ago.

"Maybe my wife is embarrassed, then I'll be the one to pick her up upstairs."

Aciel then put down his mic and walked a little faster towards the stairs which still didn't reveal Eden's figure. But when he was at the end of the stairs, a servant suddenly ran from upstairs with a panicked and pale face while apologizing to Aciel many times.

“Sir… Mrs. Eden… is missing,” said the waiter doubtfully and immediately made the boisterous atmosphere of the invited guests turn into whispers because the main character disappeared.

Holding back his anger, Aciel immediately called all his men to look for Eden around the mansion and outside the mansion because he was sure that his wife wasn't too far away to go.

"Sian, muster your men to search for Eden all over Vegas, we can't lose her." Aciel ordered firmly with a straight face that looked terrible in Sian's eyes.

The man immediately nodded and carried out Aciel's orders to find his best friend's wife who disappeared tonight.

In his mind, Sian felt quite concerned about Aciel's life which was often hit by problems. And that's what makes him even more afraid to leave his single life. He was afraid that his wife would make him mad.

Eden had finished making up by the elegant woman who had come to her room this afternoon. Even now she is ready with a sleeveless silver dress that wraps her thin body beautifully.

But since then she has been walking restlessly here and there because she doesn't like all this. She wanted to leave the mansion to meet Anthony and Tranz or Zyan. She had to ask for their help to find answers to all the questions that had been bothering her all this time.

With great determination, Eden began to sneak out of her room to go to Ciara's room which is on the left wing of the mansion.

As she walked towards her daughter's room, several people seemed to greet her in a formal style that was enough to make her uncomfortable, but she couldn't help but return their greetings with a calm face and look as cheerful as possible so that they wouldn't suspect that her purpose in entering Ciara's room was to escape from that mansion.

"Ma’am, what are you doing here?"

A servant suddenly stopped her when she was about to enter Ciara's room. Eden tried to be as calm as possible while gulping down her saliva once to moisten her dry throat. Even though she was determined not to be afraid, her heart was still beating like crazy because of the rush of adrenaline rushing through her body.

"I want to see my daughter's room for a while, I haven't been in Ciara's room for a long time." Eden said smoothly with a sweet smile.

The servant nodded understandingly as she opened the door for Eden.

“Please come in, ma’am, but in ten minutes you will have to come downstairs to join Mr. Aciel as well as Miss Ciara, so don't take too long.”

"I won't be long, you calm down. I'll just look around for a bit, then I'll come down to join... Aciel and Ciara as well.” Eden said a little awkwardly at the end of her sentence.

After that the servant immediately closed the door to Ciara's room and left Eden alone in her young lady's spacious room.

After the servant really left, Eden immediately took off her torturous party heels and immediately walked towards the large window in the corner of her daughter's room.

This afternoon she had already thought of a plan to escape through her daughter's room because her daughter's room was located on the left wing which was not too crowded, in contrast to her room which was in the main bedroom, so it would be very conspicuous if she tried to escape through her bedroom window. After all, the arrogant man had sealed all the windows in her room so she couldn't escape, so the only way she could get out of that hell was through Ciara's room.

Eden hastily started to string some of Ciara's blankets to make ropes so she could slide down from the window of Ciara's room into the backyard of the mansion. Although it was quite scary and risky, but she was determined to do it because this was the only chance she had.

Eden threw the other end of the rope down after previously tying the other end to the strong balcony railing. Then she immediately jumped over the balcony railing to get ready to go downstairs.

"God please protect me." Eden muttered under her breath before her hand slowly moved down the rope she made.

In her attempt to get down from the mansion, Eden was quite grateful because there was no bodyguard in Ciara's room. Even the back garden also seemed deserted and dark because right now everyone's attention was focused on Aciel who was giving speech in the main room of his mansion.

"Yes, I did."

Eden jumped for joy when she was finally able to step on the moist ground beneath her safely without getting hurt at all. With great joy she immediately ran towards the side door which looked empty without a single guard guarding it.

“Huh, now I'm free. Goodbye jerk! You'll never catch me." Eden muttered under her breath before she walked briskly towards the quiet side door.
