Lucas ended the call, but Coco’s cheerful voice was still echoing in his ears. He couldn’t wait to hear her voice in person.

"Alright, I'll make a move first," Lucas told Caleb while standing up.

Caleb was taken aback. "Wait, you're leaving already?"

"What else? Do you want to come with me to pick Coco up from work?" Lucas asked back.

"Why did you come down? You could've waited upstairs," Lucas said.
