Boris ran to the car and tapped on the glass, Cole lowered the glass and gave him a stern look. “Sir! I asked her to name her price and she said 4000 bucks… it’s a good deal right?” Boris asked happily. Cole scoffed “So she was that cheap after all? You see I always say that all people are the same, she’s even willing to sell her friend out for 4000 bucks…. Traitors everywhere” “So do we pay her?” Boris asked eagerly. “Go do the transactions with her, take the address and let’s go” Cole instructed. Boris smiled “Yes sir!” He ran back into the bar and made the payments straight into the bank account Lora gave him(which was Brittany’s bank account) “Thanks, Miss Schumer it was great doing business with you” Boris thanked her and left with the address written on a piece of paper. He got into the car and handed the address to the driver, “let’s head here” Cole’s heart started beating unrhythmic as they headed for Brittany’s residence, he started rehearsing again what he was going
Boris called Cole to ask him about the next move but Cole told him to go home. He then turned off his phone and remained seated in front of Brittany’s door, he sat there till he fell asleep. The next time he woke up he was lying on the floor his hand was numb and so were his feet. He slapped it severally and managed to get up. He turned on his phone and checked the time, it was 11 a.m. He gasped and dashed for the elevator when he got downstairs his driver was waiting for him. He paused and frowned then got into the car. “How long have you been here?” He asked trying to hide his embarrassment. He didn’t want anyone to know he had sat there all night, if the driver wasn’t out there he would’ve simply lied and said he was out with Sean. “All night sir” the driver responded Cole nodded. “Let it remain between the two of us” he instructed. “Yes sir!” The driver responded and drove away. Back at Cole’s villa Luna stood at the entrance elegantly dressed but visibly upset. “What do yo
Brittany pulled the blankets over her body as coiled up in her bunk bed. She had applied as a farmhand on a large grape processing farm and shared a cabin with three other girls. Though the girls were friendly towards she still kept to herself because she was afraid they might recognize who she is and bully her like those in the city. She had come to the countryside to work on a farm and also to get far away from the mess. Here the farmers had little time for their phones or to follow celebrity gossip. She was able to move around without a nose mask because no one recognized her or cared anyway. Over here she was Brittany the old Brittany that no one knew and that made her happy. She drifted off to sleep and dreamt about Cole reaching out for her. She turned around and walked away and he started to run after her Brittany ran fast so he wouldn’t catch up but she fell the falling effect woke her up feeling her slumber. She sat up on the bed and panted for breath. “Damn, you Cole!” She
Naya had paid someone to play ‘paparazzi’ for Luna. Since Luna was used to having the media and reporters chase her everywhere she went, she wouldn’t suspect that someone was following her and taking pictures, that way she could spy on the model without her knowledge. She felt whatever was going on was the doing of Luna and wanted to know what the model was trying to achieve. She had a call from the spy and quickly answered it. “Hello miss…. I think there’s something fishy going on” the spy said immediately after Naya answered the call. “What is it?” Naya curiously inquired. “Before Luna went on the date with Mr. Williams he wasn’t allowing her to touch him or even get too close… now they’re coming out of a club and he’s all over her and as we speak they’re en route to her place” the spy informed her. Naya immediately sprung up from her couch and raced to the exit. “Thanks for informing me I’m on my way there, do the best you can to delay them” “Noted” the spy responded and han
Luna went into the room fuming, once again her plans had been messed with. Her main goal wasn’t achieved and she didn’t know who to blame, whether it was the fault of the driver whose car broke down or it was Naya or it was just fate that had messed up with her. Then she remembered what Naya had said to her about Brittany belonging with Cole. She grew worried. Had they reconciled? It didn’t look like it Cole didn’t believe Brittany was innocent and also Brittany seemed to have been mad at Cole too. But the confidence with which Naya spoke made her uncomfortable. She had to find Brittany and put more hatred in her. She took her phone and texted one of her investigators to find Brittany and report her location to her. When she put the phone down her eye caught the table at the corner of the room, which had her glue, magazines, and scissors. Her heart skipped a beat, she hoped Cole hadn’t seen them. She had to find out if he had, and if she was able to confirm that he had seen it she’
Soon a week was up and Cole reluctantly returned to Avondale Hotel. With Brittany gone, he had no desire to continue to be the host of the show. The truth was he only agreed because of Brittany, he figured his absence would give Sean the confidence to flirt with her that’s why he agreed to do it. Now that he had sent her away the show had no meaning to it, there was no passion, no excitement whatsoever. He turned to Naya in the car and stared at her for a while before talking. “Naya,” he said softly. Naya who was still upset with him for about a week now stared at him with displeasure in her eyes. “I want to pull out of the show” he announced to her. She sat up looking shocked. “Why?” “I’m not in the best of health… and it’ll start showing in my performance” he lied. “What’s wrong with you? It must be all the drugs Luna has been feeding you with” Naya stated “I told you to stay away from that girl” “Okay, so can I quit now?” Cole asked. “Cole we signed a contract if you pull o
After about a week the engineer got in touch with Boris. “Hi Boris this is Wilson the telecommunication engineer, I’m sorry for the delay… I was a little busy…” “Whatever just tell me what you found” Boris responded showing a lack of interest in his monologue. Cole had been on his neck about the progress of the search for Brittany yet here Wilson was wasting all the time. “The number was registered by Pietro Bellini, so it’s safe to say that, that call was from Bellini farms” Wilson stated. “Bellini farms?” Boris echoed. “Yes,” Wilson responded. “Okay thanks for the help,” Boris said and hung up. He sat down pondering over the news then laughed. “Of all the places it was Bellini farms? Brittany was surely something else” Boris was laughing because he knew there was no way Cole was going to set foot on Bellini farms, he had bad blood with them. Hell would break loose if they ever saw him on their property. He got into his car and drove to Lora’s bar that morning he didn’t think
Soon night befell them Cole stood in the corridor in front of his door quietly with his eyes closed. It was his ritual anytime his heart was frustrated and on this particular night, his frustrations were many. First was how to back out of the contract without disappointing Naya, second was how to get Bellini farms without causing any trouble. Third was what he was going to say to Brittany once he saw her. All these thoughts made him worried and even kept him from going to his hotel room, he paced the corridors and stood in front of his door quietly. Luna cat walked to him with a thin smile on her lips. She tapped him gently and Cole opened his eyes slowly and looked at her. “You don’t look well anything the matter?” She asked. Cole shook his head “I’m fine” “Are you sure? Because it’s written boldly on your face that you’re not well” Luna insisted. “Just a lot on my mind please leave me alone,” he said and went inside the room Luna quickly followed. She pulled out a tiny perfume
