77. Oriaga condition.

"How is it, Joana? Did they give you an answer yet?" Two questions quickly escaped Oriaga's lips when Joana visited the hospital after office hours, the man had woken up from his sleep about fifteen minutes ago, and he asked Dean to pick Joana up and bring her to the hospital.

The woman hadn't even opened her mouth to greet Oriaga, but she had to understand that her boss kept thinking about office matters while lying weak like this.

Joana smiled faintly, she tried to hide her anxiety, but she realized that even if she admitted it—Oriaga probably wouldn't care, or invite her to discuss other matters.

Joana shook her head. "Not yet, sir."

Oriaga chuckled. "It's crazy, are they deliberately ignoring me, huh? This is the most subtle way we can talk about it without resorting to demands, or even magnifying the issue at hand."
