How can a man who can't speak be scary like this?
How can a man that sincerely loves a woman have this kind of personality?
How did this man turn into a... monster?
He is a lonely man.
He lost the only woman he only love all these years.
He suffered the unfairness of the world all by himself.
She shouldn't think badly about Havoc. She wouldn't understand him unless she was in his shoes. It is still early to conclude. It's still early and her counseling does not even start yet. Havoc is still wearing a mask, that's a definite.
"What do you think? Do you think I'm afraid of you? No, I'm not afraid of how you acted just now." she said with conviction, trying to hide the fact that she is indeed afraid. Sunny is trying so hard to hide, though her legs wanted to give up. She can still feel the pain in her arms because of how strongly he pressed his hands on them.
"Well, maybe it's too early to provoke you like this. I'm sorry, I should watch my pace from now on."
Havoc grinned at her. Not afraid, huh? She looks like she would faint at any second now. She looks so pale... but still so pretty. He shakes his head to remove the thought. What's the game she wants to play? She's not acting brave. She's acting like a fool!
They stared at each other for another ten seconds before Havoc's expression changed. His angry expressions change into confusion.
What is this sweet scent? Is it from her? He doesn't realize that he lets go of Sunny's arms already.
Sunny grabs this opportunity to get something from her pocket and puts it inside his mouth which startled him. It melts on his tongue and the sweet taste of strawberry invades his taste buds. Havoc's eyes widened when he realized what she puts inside his mouth.
"Don't worry, Mr. Montemayor. That's only candy." his eyes are still filled with confusion because of what she did. Sunny gets another candy in his pocket and then eats it. "See? That candy does not have poison so don't get scared." he unconsciously rolls his eyes. Cute!
"Did you know that candy has five benefits?" Havoc might not be looking at her as she speaks but she knows that he's listening.
"First, people who eat candy live longer. It was proven by the Harvard School of Public Health. Because of a comprehensive study, revealed that people who eat candy can outlive those who don't." that's when he looks at her.
"Second, it can restore willpower. A shot of sugar makes people persevere longer and keeps them focused. Third, eating candy decreases the risk of cardiovascular disease. Fourth, according to Cornell University, it helps create new blood vessels. And lastly, eating candy helps in improving your mental health. It can improve your mood, reduce stress, increase mental focus, and even block pain."
He's still looking at her. "Your expression is the proof. You don't look as angry as you are earlier."
Havoc walked towards the chair on his table. She saw him grab his phone not a few minutes later, she felt her phone vibrate. Sunny immediately reads the message.
"So this is your new method? You'll make me eat a stupid candy to make me able to speak?"
Sunny laughs at what he said. She doesn't remember saying that eating candy can make a mute person speaks. He's funny.
"As I have said earlier, I will watch my pace from now on. I won't rush you. Actually, making you eat a candy wasn't part of my counseling but good thing I came prepared." he then again rolled his eyes at her. There's an urge on teasing Havoc all over again to see this gesture of his.
Both of them got silent. Sunny can see how tight he's holding his phone right now.
"Your previous psychiatrists told me that you're seeing your counseling as for show only; to make people around you at ease with your condition? Let me tell you this. My service is not for show, Mr. Montemayor. You are wary of me, I can sense that. Maybe because you're waiting and looking forward to my next steps."
Sunny saw his fist tighten while his other hand is holding his cell phone. Havoc's looking at her dangerously. If looks could kill, her grandmother's mourning on her ashes now.
"Breath, Mr. Montemayor. Suck the candy and let the sweet taste calm you down."
He did what he was told. As the seconds pass, she can see Havoc's expression soften. Sunny walks towards him as if she's walking inside the devil's cave; danger. She doesn't know to what extent he can hurt her.
"Mr. Montemayor, my job is not for show. I am determined to bring your voice back and peel that pretending mask of yours. You know, life can be as sweet as candy when you learn to stop living in your dark and scary fantasy." he avoided her gaze and looked on the curtains. "Okay, I will continue my counseling tomorrow since you look so tired right now. Good day, Mr. Montemayor."
Sunny bowed at him, grabbed her bag, and walks towards the door. While Havoc is still stuck like a statue in his seat, looking at the woman leaving his office. He is actually curious about how she will make him speak again.
Can she really make his life be as sweet as candy?
"Do you want me to work on how to make her disappear---" his secretary asked him as soon as she entered his office.
"No. Let her do her job for a week." Ashley was dumbfounded. For the first time, he lets someone be his psychiatrist for a week. Usually, Havoc will ask him to either terminate the contract or tell his father that he or she wasn't an effective psychiatrist after one counseling. That's uncooperative he is when it comes to this matter.
She nodded and lets him sleep on the couch. Her job is done for the day.

"What happened today?"
"What do you mean?"
Klode went to their house three hours after her first counseling session with Havoc.
"Today's your first day as Mr. Montemayor's psychiatrist."
She rolled her eyes at him. "You know what usually happens during a student's first day of class. Introduction." she can't tell all the details on him yet. He might freak out when he knows about the dangerous acts that she did.
"Why do I feel like you're lying."
"Then don't ask anymore if you won't believe me! I don't have time to prove your suspicions right when it's really not. Please don't just go here to our house. My grandmother might think there's still something between the both of us. I'll meet you at other places when we're gonna talk about the case." she nodded and left Klode dumbfounded.
She started writing drafts about his condition and attitude for their first day. This will help to see his progress little by little as the sessions go by.
While munching on her cookies after her work, she received a message from Havoc.
"What time will you be arriving tomorrow?"
CHAPTER 4She’s confused but surprised to receive a message from Havoc outside their counseling and he’s even asking what time she’ll be arriving tomorrow. Okay, Sunny, don’t overthink. When she enters the office, Sunny comfortably sits on the couch where she was seated yesterday. She looks at Havoc and frowned.“Why do you look so bothered today?”Havoc grabs his cellphone and started to compose a message for her. Just a few seconds later, Sunny’s phone vibrated.“I’m just thinking about the things that you will do today to anger me again.” she smiled.“Well, that’s good. It means that you’re looking forward to this session, right?” Havoc only rolled his eyes at her. But well she’s right. He’s bothered about seeing her again but also loo
His mood changes in an instant. He looks like Sunny just asked one of the most dangerous questions that she could ask. The sweetness of the candy is already gone and his stares send shivers down her spine. If glares can do something to a person then maybe she’s dead and cold meat already. That’s how dangerous he looks right now.You can do it. A minute passed and Sunny took something out of her bag and put it on the table in front of Havoc. It is Anna’s picture. She immediately catches the slight twitch in his eyes. Is that pain, longing, or… anger? Sunny is not sure about the emotion that she saw. Anna Servano. She has fair skin, and a bright smile, and she looks so very lovely. Her good personality can be reflected in the picture. The photo was taken during Anna’s first date with Havoc; the only one left after he asked his secretary to burn every picture of her.“Where did you get that?” he asked through a message. She can see the burning fire in his eyes. Why? Is he that mad at Sun
This scene was like a movie wherein the police officers chased a criminal, tried to save two teenagers, and maybe get big cash rewards from their wealthy families. Out of nervousness, the kidnapper speed up the gasoline so he could escape from them. The kidnapper didn't notice the truck speeding up on their way and the last thing they remembered was the car crashing and rolling on the busy midnight street. In the backseat, you can see the young man trying to push the girl out of the burning car. However, the girl pulled away from his grip and held his cheek instead. It's a cliche, puppy love story where a knight was trying to save his princess from danger, but in this situation, the princess does not want to be a damsel in distress. She held his right cheek and pinch it a little; a familiar gesture from her that he learned to love. "I'm sorry," the young girl said before she forcefully pushed the young man out of the car. CHAPTER 1"Sunny, honey, it's almost lunchtime! Aren't you going to get up? Doctor Allysa will surely get mad again." she get up as she heard the voice of her grandmother. She looked at the alarm clock beside her. Jeez, I'm late! I have an important thing to do! "Where are you going, anyway? Your boyfriend called and asked where you are and asked if you're ready. Here, eat your lunch before you go." her grandma gave her a knowing look. Here we go again. "Do you mean Klode? Abuela, it has been a long time since we broke up, okay? We have nothing special, as in nothing." she grabbed the sandwich and took a bite. It's not a meal though. "Then why did he ask if you're ready? I thought he asked you out on a date. So I got the wrong idea?" "You sure did, Abuela. I have a new patient that is connected in the case that he's currently handling. We need to see each other so we could talk about it." Abuela nodded and served her the food. Hopefully, this case would turns out well. After the
"What are you going to do now?" Klode asked Sunny while she was fixing her things and the documents that contain Havoc's information. She slides the envelope inside her bag. "What do you mean?" "About your sessions. What kind of counseling are you going to do? That should be extraordinary since he's one of a stubborn patient." she stopped when she heard what he said. She frowned and looked directly into his eyes. She doesn't understand why he needs to ask those questions when in fact, he does not have the right to ask things about her counseling with Havoc. "I believe it's none of your business, Klode. You're a detective and I'm a psychiatrist. We have different jobs and tasks regarding this case." she was ready to leave when Klode suddenly grabbed her by the wrist. "It is my business. Just in case you forgot that I'm the detective of this case. This isn't just about normal counseling, Sunny. You need to report every detail to me, his improvements and progress. I'm handling this c
