"He held me and said he married you out of guilt because your ears were injured because of him. Over the years, his status has risen, but his wife has been a burden. When others ask about it, he only feels embarrassed by you."

Jasmine stared closely at my expression.

It was as if she wanted to see a hint of pain, but she was disappointed.

I simply looked at her indifferently. I showed no expression at all.

Seeing that I remained unresponsive,

Jasmine's smile gradually faded, and a shadow crossed her eyes.

"Why?"

Suddenly, she lowered her head and began to sob softly.

"Clearly, he had feelings for me too."

"After you ruined everything for me, he didn't want me anymore."

I suddenly laughed.

"If you're pining for someone else's husband, you have to bear the title of a mistress. What do you think?"

He looked pale, almost greedily staring at me.
