27. Rebecca's Fretting

The darkening night did not make Rebecca close her eyes quickly, she was waiting for news from her subordinates. The middle-aged woman stood at the lip of the window with her gaze far ahead at the darkness of the pine forest.

"Where are you, my daughter, even your scent is beyond my reach," Rebecca murmured.
