32. The Pain Is Palpable

Sicily saw Edward's manly departure. Even the young woman shrank her body, huddled against the window wall in extreme pain.

She herself also did not understand why the pain of past rejection returned. Her wolf howled in tearful silence.

"What is this, it hurts," Sicily muttered, clutching her chest tightly.

The woman curled up even more until her body was like a fused ball. Even her eyes narrowed so deeply that clear water flowed slowly from the corners of her dark eyes.

"I can only see your vague figure, Edward. Smelling the lupi in your body has healed this wound even though my wolf refuses," Sicily said in a very sad tone.

Steps were heard approaching and the door to Sicily's room opened. Rebecca was seen walking over. Her stern figure made the surrounding aura cold.

The presence of her mother did not make the young woman turn away and unravel her body. Instead, Sicily sank deeper into her pain.

"Don't drown for too long, Sicily! It's not good for your future," Rebecca said
