Mia woke up in a whitewashed room. The antiseptic smell was tickling her nose so she looked around confusedly. Her head moved to the side, and found jet black eyes staring at her. A faint smile crossed her beautiful face.
“Hey,” said Mia. “Where am I?” Mia asked in a deep voice. She felt like swallowing cotton, her mouth was dry and dragging.
Jaxon who was sitting next to Mia came closer and stroked Mia’s head gently.
“You're in the hospital,” Jaxon replied as he put the glass to Mia's dry lips. He helped Mia carefully by lifting her head.
“How did I get here?” Mia asked while holding back the urge not to yawn. She wanted to stay awake, but felt her eyelids heavy.
“Don't hold back, Dolcezza. Just sleep,” said Jaxon in a soft voice as he touched Mia's eyelids to close them.
It didn't take long for Mia to fall back asleep.
