Feeling a warm kiss on the forehead, Mia woke up and found Jaxon sitting next to the bed with his hand gently stroking her wrist. She smiled which Jaxon replied with the same smile.
“I'm hungry,” Mia said hoarsely.
“I'll bring some porridge,” Jaxon whispered as he got up, but Mia held him back.
“Don’t go. Please stay with me here.”
Jaxon looked at Mia's hand holding the hem of his shirt. He sat back down and pulled Mia's hand in his. Jaxon took out his cell phone and called Fritz to buy food outside and bring some fresh flowers. If necessary, the room was filled with roses that had just bloomed from Aurelia Castle.
“Where have you been? I was looking for you when I woke up,” Mia said in a slightly child like voice, making Jaxon look at her several times before placing his palm on Mia's forehead which was not hot. Could it be that the anesthetic effect hasn't gone away yet?
