Over the past few days, I have tried to keep Anna off my mind by working with John and a few others. I don’t know why she had to fight me on everything, but John has clearly instructed me not to mention anything to anyone or they might know that we’re after them.

We had to figure out a game plan quietly on how to take down George and his men. Since word of my deal with The Brookes got out, they’d been watching me, watching my every move and I had to be careful because if they learned of what I was doing, it would surely end badly for me and anyone I cared about.

Stepping up my security details, I hired extra security guards from an outside source. Some of the additional precautions were even undercover agents, John wanted to be placed around my home and workplace to ensure that they had eyes there in case anything were to happen.

I wasn’t pleased about it, I’d come to England to try to lead a normal life, but this was far from normal. What was I going to do? Tell them no?
