Immediately, Sam swung the bat forcefully and struck the brick wall and then turned to me, growling as she stared at me, her expression suddenly changed,

“See…fun,” she said marching towards me. I stepped back defensively, I didn’t know this woman from anywhere. For all I knew she might have just escaped from a psych ward and with how she just switched her expressions that easily, I was convinced she was.

Seeing my nervousness, she just smiled knowingly and stepped back. Without a word, she walked towards a small metal refrigerator by the corner and pulled out a bottle of beer, “Want one?” Sam asked, shifting her gaze to me, and then twisted open her bottle.

I shook my head in response and she heaved a tired sigh,

“I thought you wanted to get your anger and frustrations out Anna,”

“I do, but-“

“They’re no buts Anna. Why are you still holding back so much. Just pick up a friggin’ bat and smash something., anything. Trust me you’ll feel much better right after.” She interjected m
