Chapter one

HARMONY'S POV:

Buzz Buzz⏰. The loud sound of my alarm went off which knocked me off my bed and land flat on the floor on my butt. I got up to turn it off when Megan called out to me

"I'm up already" I groaned

"Good morning B, how was your night? " she said in her usual chirpy mood

"it wasn't good at all Meg. I kept tossing and turning and when all night, and when I was finally able to get some sleep this stupid alarm went off " I whined tossing the ridiculously loud alarm aside. it was a gift from one of my aunties

"Come on B, you've been preparing for this interview for months. Are you still worked up about it? You know what, enough of this unnecessary talk. Go and get ready"she said. I quickly ran into the bathroom to shower realizing I have only few minutes before my interview.

After having my bath, I walked into my bedroom which was now turned upside down, like an earthquake just happened only in the living room.

"What are you doing Meg?, Why have you turned my room upside down" I asked, gesturing to the scattered room and clothes lying around on the floor

"Oh relax you neat freak. I was just organizing what you would wear for the interview" she said rummaging through my closet like an insane person

"But I already decided on what to wear, see" I showed her my already picked out clothes

"You'll look like a pineapple in that, an unripe pineapple for that matter. Where did you even get that?" she said with a disgusted look on her face

"It belonged to my grandmother. It was her lucky dress" I smiled remembering my Nana

"Figures. Anyway this is an important interview and You have to wear what I have picked out for you. No time for any argument, you're already running late" I just decided not to argue about this for now

"Shit" I quickly ran to my drawers and grabbed my undies which I quickly put on almost falling flat on my face. I can be so clumsy at times.

I decided to put on what Meg had picked out for me. It consisted of a black knee-length pencil skirt, with a button down white shirt (long sleeve) and a pair of black stilettos. I brushed my hair and styled it in a high ponytail, thanks to Meg. I grabbed my bags, credentials,keys and hauled a cab because, my baby 'mark' (my car) was faulty. I'm heading to OTALIA'S GROUP of company for an important interview, with Megan yelling

"good luck" from my apartment.

Hi... before I forget my name is Harmony Beverly Harrison. Am a 22year old graduate. I am an only child and Megan is my childhood BFF...

I have been preparing for an interview for months now and today was the day I get the job or not. Anyway, I could have I worked for my father Gerald Harrison but, I didn't want to succeed under my family. I wanted to make a name of my own, to make my family and myself proud.

I'm currently running late for my interview, what a good first impression Don't you think? you'll get to know me more and about my life as I take you along on this journey.

'i really hope i get this job' I muttered inside the cab.

**Few minutes later**

As I arrived at OTALIA'S GROUP of company, I was awed by the magnificent skyscraper but I was running late so there was no time to admire the tall building. I quickly rushed into the building and met the receptionist who was busy popping a bubble gum.

"Um.... excuse me" I said

"Welcome to OTALIA'S GROUP of company, how may I help you?." She seemed nice

"I have a 9:00 interview with Mr primrose" I said hoping I haven't missed it

"Oh! You're right on time. Take the elevator to the 20th floor. You will see a secretary, who would attend to you and show you his office" she said

"Thank you" I followed her instructions and saw the secretary at her desk

"Hi, I'm Harmony Harrison and I have an interview with Mr primrose"

"Right, this way miss"she directed me to his office. I knocked twice on the dark mahogany door and was asked to come in

"Good day sir" I walked up to his desk.

"Good day Miss Harrison. Please, take a seat" he said motioning to the chair in front of him.

"Thank you sir" I said nervously. My palms were sweating already

"So Miss Harrison, where are you from? " He asked looking at my resumè.

***Skip the interview***

"Congratulations Miss Harrison. You can resume as from on Monday" he got up to shake my hands

"Thank you very much sir." I left his office excitedly. I brought out my phone to call Meg and tell her the good news when, I bumped into something really hard, it was like a wall. He just walked past me without saying sorry. I got up from the floor and yelled at him

"Jerk" I then left the building, with my mood already ruined. I headed straight home after that. On getting home, I found my apartment surprisingly clean after the mess Meg made this morning. I decided to call her over

"Hey Meg, guess what?" I said excitedly

"You got the job?" she said excitedly

"I got the job" I answered grinning from ear to ear.

"Oh B!! am so happy for you" she was yelling on the other end of the phone

"We should celebrate" she said "I was thinking the same thing, you should come over so we can have a sleepover" I said taking off my clothes

"I'll be there in 10 minutes. Should I bring anything."

"Beer. I already got some junk food"

"on my way" she hung up quickly. Meg loves partying and having fun. I on the other hand, have always been the weird one. I get drunk easily, I can't even dance to save my life.

I went to the bathroom and had my bath. After that, I started preparing for our sleepover. About 20 minutes later, Meg came with some beer.

"Congrats B, I'm so proud you"she enveloped me in a bear hug

"C.. can't b..breathe" she immediately let go of me smiling mischievously

"Thank you" I took the drinks from her and placed them in a bucket full of ice.

We sat , ready to watch 'Boys Before Flowers'. I was busy sharing popcorn with Meg when, she suddenly had an emergency call from her boyfriend. She had to leave early cutting our sleepover shut. I was already feeling sleepy so, I planned on cleaning up in the morning and then, i went straight to bed
