Ivan’s POV

Waking up next to Lexi was everything, it felt as though the color that had once faded from my life was starting to find its way back.

I laid beside her as I took in her facial features and then I began to realize how much I’d missed her, how much she’d grown and how stressed the kids had made her and at that moment I wanted to do everything right.

I wanted to be there for her always, I wanted to wipe that stress away from her whole being and let her be the Lexi that I once knew although she hadn’t changed much but just the same way motherhood took its toll on Reece, it took its toll on Lexi too.

My eyes darted to the bedside clock and it was almost 6:30 AM. I usually set the alarm for 6:30 so I quickly picked it up and stopped the alarm in order not to wake Lexi from her beautiful sleep.

Gently, I crawled out of bed and made my way to the room the children were sleeping in, they were also fast asleep with Adeline clutching the teddy bear I’d won for her.
