I thought keeping the divorce papers away from Olivia and still staying together would change everything for the better. I hoped she would realize our marriage was at stake and act right.

But I was totally wrong. Even if we had known each other for years, the past few weeks felt like we were strangers living under the same roof.

No matter how hard I tried to tell her I had no idea Tricia was in town, she didn’t believe me and I had no way to convince her. It was as if we were in a cold war.

What an idiot....if you really want to fix your marriage you should've sat down and talked with her and tell her how you feel and why you feel that way. If you had given her the necklace that may have helped your wife feel secure about the marriage.
