“I don’t fucking care about all those years and I can never believe you.” Olivia’s words were like a slap in the face. It was like she never even cared about me from the beginning.

I never should have given her the divorce papers. I didn’t know it would turn her into an entirely different person. I made a mistake and I wished I could go back in time to fix it.

I understood her concern about the necklace. It was meant to be for her but I got disappointed when she gave me those mediocre presents, so I held on to her gift instead of giving it to her.

“Olivia, I know you’re hurting and I’m sorry for everything I did to cause it.” I could see her eyes blazing with hurt and anger. “I’m sorry about the divorce papers and I’m sorry about meeting up with Tricia.”

The room fell silent for a few seconds.

“I just need some space,” Olivia said as she made her way out of the bed. “Just stay away from me, I don’t want to see you right now.”

With that, she left the room, leaving

Did the necklace he gave to Tricia gave her false hope that he still had feelings for her after all these years? If so, serve him right ..

If he really did d what he said throughout the marriage, why was she feeling neglected and alone .. that they hardly talked to each other? Did she really not doing anything to improve and save their relationship as he claimed?
