Meeting the parents

Allison’s POV

“Are you nervous, baby?” Leo asked, as he drove into the vast expanse of his parents' estate.

The further we went into the wide area of land, the more unnerved and intimidated I was. I couldn't help but wonder if they'd like someone from a different social status like me, given how wealthy and influential their family was.

“Baby, you are not giving me a response,” Leo's voice drifted into my ears again, as he gave my hand a soft, reassuring squeeze with his free one.

Feigning a smile, I said. “I'm not, I was just thinking about stuff.”

“You are clearly nervous, Allie,” Leo sighed. “And you really shouldn't be because my parents are cool and unproblematic, I mean it. When you get to know them, you may even think of them as cheesy.”

“Really?”

“Yes, baby. So don't be nervous to meet them, alright?” He held my hand and pressed a kiss to my knuckles as the car screeched to a halt.

“Okay.”

“So, let's go in?” He gestured to the gigantic three storey building that was his paren
