Allison’s POV

“Thanks, babe,” Tasha beamed, as I handed her a plate of freshly-baked chocolate cookies.

“You're welcome, T. Anything for you.” I darted her a wink which she returned by making a sound of disgust.

“How unromantic can one be, damn!” I teased, as I took my seat beside Aiden who was playing games on his iPad. “I thought marrying David would at least make you more loving and affectionate but I guess I was wrong.”

“Thank you,” She rolled her eyes. “My baby loves me like that.”

In response, I just huffed before grabbing a piece of the cookie and biting into it.

Turning to Aiden, I asked. “Do you want some cookies, baby?”

“No, thank you, mummy,” He beamed then returned to his game, his little face scrunched up in a frown of concentration.

“You're welcome, baby,” I chuckled.

“He's so adorable and respectful,” Tasha smiled. “Well done, Allie, you really did a great job with him.”

“You know raising him wouldn't have been possible without yours and David's help, babe,”

Allison’s POV “Tasha and I are going to see a friend tomorrow.” I fibbed, as Leo raked his long, skillful fingers through my hair, relaxing my tense nerves and making me feel at complete bliss. We were currently at Leo's villa with Aiden and our son was napping in his bedroom while we lounged in the sitting room, watching N*****x. I had no idea how I was supposed to tell him that I was going to see Max without it seeming awkward and strange. However, I had already made a promise to Max which I couldn't break. Throughout the duration of our undefined relationship, Max had been quite nice to me and it wouldn't be nice to repay his kindness with meanness. He at least deserved to be sent off to another country where he'd hopefully meet a woman who would love him like he deserved to be. “Oh, is the person a friend from high school?” Leo asked. “No,” I lied again. “You see, the story of how we became friends with her is quite complicated but funny. She wants us to have a small get t

  • My Billionaire Ex-Husband Wants Me Back   Threatened

Allison’s POV After I rejected Max's absurd proposal, I blocked him on all platforms but that didn't stop him from pestering me. Hell, he even went as far as sending me an email on my official email address, and I proceeded to report him as spam. I also told the security team both at my apartment and the company to not allow him in. I wanted him out of my life for good. Coming across and subsequently being friends with a mentally unstable bastard like him was the worst mistake of my life. However, I was yet to tell Leo about the proposal because I was scared as to how he'd react. I knew he would definitely be mad at me for failing to keep my words, to never keep things from him and vice versa, and I didn't want to ruin our relationship. Especially not when Aiden was now happy that he had a dad. “Oh, fuck, what do I do now?” I muttered to myself, as I watched the coffee machine dispense some of the brown caffeinated beverage into my mug. I was currently in the staff kitchen as I

Allison’s POV “Are you ready to talk to your grandparents, champ?” Leo asked Aiden, who was sitting on his lap. “Yes, daddy,” He nodded eagerly, lips bared in an enthusiastic smile. “I am ready to meet grandma and grandpa.” “That's perfect.” Leo ruffled his hair before averting his focus to me. “What about you, baby?” “I'm ready,” I replied, rubbing my palms together. “Let's do this.” It had been a while since I last spoke to Leo's parents and as they had both been so kind to me, I was really looking forward to seeing and talking to them again. “Alright then,” He said before placing a Skype call to them. Their line clicked after three rings to reveal Ma'am Catherine and Mr Alessandro who had identical happy grins plastered to their faces. Ma'am Catherine waved cheerfully. “My darling Allison, is that my Aiden?” “Good day, ma,” I greeted her. “Yes, this is Aiden.” Then to Aiden, I whispered. “Say hi to your grandparents.” “Hi, grandpa and grandma,” Aiden waved happily and Ma'

Leo’s POV “Please have your seat, detective Conan,” I said to the tall, burly man as he walked into my office. “Would you like some refreshments?” “No, thanks,” He replied, as he sat down on the sofa at the center of my office. “Alright then,” I said, taking my seat as well. “So what brings you to my office? Any good news?” After Dylan told me everything about Max's dark past, I had decided to employ a private detective who could further look into the case and assist us with putting Max behind bars forever. I knew and very much believed that the good for nothing bastard must have killed his parents because there was really no other plausible explanation. How could he have disappeared around the time his parents drowned? “Yes, sir. We have found a way to get an arrest warrant for Mr Sanders,” He divulged. “He allegedly founded a cryptocurrency scheme that proved to be a scam and caused many individuals and companies to go bankrupt.” “That man is a terrible asshole.” I said, sha

Allison’s POV Cold shivers raced down my spine as two male warders brought Max into the courtroom. As though sensing my distress, Leo took my hand into his and gave it a gentle squeeze before pressing a kiss to my knuckles. “Don't worry about him, my love. You are safe now.” He whispered, to which I nodded then swallowed harshly. Although I had tried so hard to stop beating myself up over the fact that I could have really fallen into a lifetime trap of misery, if I had agreed to date Max out of spite, I just couldn't shrug the weariness off. Hell, I could imagine him bashing my head in with a vase if I failed to prepare his meals as early as possible. I could vividly remember how overpossessive he had been throughout the short duration of our relationship, and I couldn't help but wonder why I had put up with him for so long, instead of breaking up with him the moment he started exhibiting jealousy. Anyway, it was fine now. Max would go to jail even if it was for a year until en

Leo’s POV “Can you imagine killing your own parents at fifteen?” Allison asked, as we took our seats in the courtroom for the final hearing. “Just how brutal can one be to do that? I still can't wrap my head around the whole thing.” “That's people for you, babe,” I replied, wrapping my arm around her and giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze. “They are extremely unpredictable. And as for Max, he is nothing but an entitled prick.” “True, that he is,” She nodded then heaved a huge sigh as she burrowed into me. “I hope he gets what he deserves.” “Me too, baby,” I said. “Me too.” Barely five minutes later, the judges walked into the courtroom after it became filled with people again. “After reviewing the various evidence that were presented,” The chief judge started, darting a disdainful gaze at a remorseless Max. “Mr Max Sanders has been found guilty of the murder of his adoptive parents, Mr Andrew Sanders and Mrs Zelda Sanders, as well as being the masterpiece of the MX cryptocurre

  • My Billionaire Ex-Husband Wants Me Back   The baby shower

Allison’s POV “So what did you get Tasha?” I asked Leo as he revved the car's engine. “I'm curious.” Today was Tasha's surprise baby shower, and we were currently on our way to the venue, which happened to be Tasha and David's house. David was also in on the plan and had been quite elated when I told him about it. He had offered to divert Tasha's mind from the whole thing by taking her out on a date that day, so we could put things in place before their arrival. Although, I had initially wanted to do in a bigger way, I knew how much of an introverted agoraphobe my best friend was, so I settled on doing something more intimate. “It's a secret, baby,” He smirked, steering the car out of the driveway. “And you know the old saying ”curiosity kills the cat”, don't you?” Rolling my eyes, I huffed. “Well, I'm not exactly a cat now, am I? Come on, babe, I already told you what I was giving her. Why can't you just tell me?” Leo grinned sheepishly. “I'm not really confident in my gift and

Leo’s POV “Daddy, I beat you again!” Aiden shrieked out of sheer joy as he put the video game controller down and jumped happily. “Nah, this is rigged. I demand a rematch.” I feigned fury, and Aiden giggled before grabbing the controller again. “I'm so going to beat you again, daddy. Just watch.” He said, and I nodded before restarting the game again. To my utter expectations, Aiden won yet again and this time, he jumped around the whole house like an excited kangaroo, his eyes scrunched up in a wide grin, and I couldn't help but feel relieved. Ever since Allison left the country three days ago, Aiden had been extremely morose and sullen. I had done everything, from video calling Allison and painstakingly making chicken lasagna, his favorite food to ordering the various junk foods that I knew he liked yet nothing had worked. Beyond exhausted, I had given up and had started playing the new video game that I bought online some days when Aiden suddenly came up to me, grabbed the s

Is it to your taste?” Leo asked, as I gazed at the car in surprise.“It's perfect,” I whispered, shaking my head in happy disbelief. “I love it.”“I'm glad to hear that, honey,” Leo said, hooking an arm around my waist. “You love the color, right? Leo's POV “You have a message,” Liam announced, gesturing to the gift bag he was holding, as he entered the room.Today was D-day. After many years of challenges, trials, and tribulations, Allison was finally going to be my wife just like I had always wanted.I had to pinch myself thrice when I woke up that morning, in order to be sure that I wasn't dreaming and today was really happening.“From who?” I asked, as he handed me the bag.“Allison.”My face softened with a wide grin as I retracted a burgundy velvet box from the bag.“I wonder what this is,” I muttered to myself, as I flipped the box open.My grin widened, to the point where my eyes creased when I saw the contents of the box; it consisted of a golden wristwatch, a pair of golden cufflinks to match with a golden pen.On the three items, my initials–LDS–was intricately inscribed on it.I couldn't help but feel warm and touched by her thoughtful, sentimental gifts, so I decided to forgo my initial choice of cufflinks and wri

Three days had passed since I proposed to Allison and we officially became a soon-to-be married couple. The rest of our family were currently at the other side of the beach house.
