Chapter 7

I was confined to my chambers, forbidden from taking a single step outside.

Although Gabriela could move about, she was constantly surrounded by Rudolf's spies.

The once-cheerful Gabriela now wore a perpetual frown in Rudolf's presence. Despite his efforts to shower her with the finest things in the world, nothing seemed to lift her spirits.

Mose spent his days by my side, as if we were newlyweds again. It wasn't until the Celestial Lord's birthday that Mose finally took me out.

Anna had noticeably lost weight, her complexion growing increasingly haggard. It was clear she had realized that she was no longer the center of Mose and Rudolf's world. This realization deepened her sense of crisis.

Under stress, people often acted irrationally. Immortals were no exception.

When Anna once again attempted to frame us by jumping into the water, Gabriela and I simply watched her with detached amusement.
