I laughed out loud.

Mose softened his tone. "Alright, I know you're worried right now, but you can't take it out on innocent people."

"Innocent? Do you think she is innocent?" I asked, staring at him.

He shifted his gaze, a flicker of guilt in his expression as he remained silent.

Anna, sensing the moment, flashed me a triumphant smile before reverting to her feeble demeanor, leaning weakly against Mose's chest.

I nodded. "Fine! Don't regret this."

When I arrived at the side hall, Rudolf was already there, staring blankly at Gabriela's lifeless body in his arms.

As I approached, he asked in a trembling voice, "How could this happen? How could she die? This isn't right. The reports said she was in league with demons. They wouldn't have killed her."

I remained expressionless as I stepped forward and pushed him aside, gathering Gabriela into my arms.

I snorted, "You were willing to trust outsiders over the wife who stood by you all these years. It's too late for regrets now."
