104. THE NEED TO LIE

As I alighted from the taxi that morning, I was wearing an unusual smile. The gloomy look I have carried for days finally disappeared. I have been united with Sebastian. And with my brother about to start school, I have little to worry about.

I was greeting everybody I met on my way as I walked through the hospital going to my usual spot. Even people that had not seen me, I was throwing greetings at them. I guess they were all surprised because for days I have practically avoided everyone.

But I still have two problems, no, three rather, that I know await me as I resume work. First is Joan who definitely might be thinking that I deceived her last night, Lucas who threatened and gave me twenty-four hours to tell him where Sebastian is, or get reported to the police for the murder of his cousin, and also Edwards Halloway's demand which was similar to Lucas but could mean more danger than that of the former.
