I was just looking at the phone, unable to pick it up because I don’t know what to say. I don’t want Joan to know that I have already known where Sebastian is. And there is no way I will answer this call without her getting a clue as to who I was talking to.
I could see her looking at me from the corner of her eyes. The phone rang until its end. I put it back into my jeans pocket and started going. But Joan was still standing, looking at me suspiciously.
