The sight was terrible and horrific. Elena had hit her head against the wall, breaking her skull in return as blood gushed freely out of her head. Elena was dead.
Andrew flinched and his heart raced the moment he saw what had happened. He ran to where Elena was and tried calling her name to wake her up but she was gone. He checked her breathing state and discovered she had truly died. His wolf reacted furiously inside of him and almost took over him after discovering that Elena had died. He grunted and pulled her close to himself, not minding Quincy staring widely at them.
He gripped her robe, calling out to her silently as tears stained his eyes. Then he regretted not stopping Quincy. He started to pick out the mistake he had made when he didn’t act fast.
“She deserves what she got,” Quincy said behind him, and a devious laughter erupted from his mouth. “If she had apologized like I asked her to do, maybe she would have survived,” he added and Andrew felt like clutching onto his neck, hitting him so much that he would meet the same demise as Elena.
“I hope you’re happy now that you finally ended the innocent girl!” he sneered, earning more laughter from Quincy.
“Innocent?” Quincy took some steps to where he was and bent over to Elena’s lifeless body. “Tch, tch, tch, so sorry for her. I wished she never died.” then he looked up at Andrew and curved his lips into a smirk. “Wrap her up, go and dispose her very well. I’ll attend to her
funeral if you plan to give her one,” he countered, and raised himself from the ground.
Andrew watched him stride out of the room and wept silently. He was heartbroken. That day was the worst day of his life. He felt dreadful, and his heart was filled with guilt. He had offended someone who had trust in him. He silently prayed for her forgiveness as he carried her dead body out of the bedroom and out to the deepest part of the woods where he secretly dug a grave for Elena and buried her of his own accord.
He stayed at her grave mourning her for the whole night, pleading with Elena to forgive him and promising that he would make sure he gets revenge on her behalf.
|Diana Parent’s House|
Diana refused to leave her room even when her parents threatened to break down her door if she didn’t come out of her room. She still didn’t mind them and stayed in her room thinking of how to get another job and get her freedom from her parents. They were haunting her, and she wasn’t ready to continue living her life the way they wanted it.
Imagine them telling her she lied about seducing a colleague and ended up getting fired. How could they possibly think of her like that? Can’t they for once trust her?
So if she was being molested, is that when they would agree that she was telling the truth? To her, her parents were unbelievable thinking she would fall to the extent of seducing someone.
She heaved a heavy sigh and got out of bed, heading for the toilet. Just then, she heard a knock on her door but she ignored it and went into the washroom to clean herself. She came back to her bedroom a few minutes later but still heard the knock. She groaned and ignored it again, but when it was getting louder she lost her sanity. “Who’s that?! Get away from my door!” she yelled, angrily.
“It’s me, Penelope,” her sister’s tiny voice came through the door.
She kept quiet for some time and continued to dress up. If it were to be anyone, she still loved her sister. Although Penelope seemed to be the cause of her suffering at her parent’s hands, she can’t bring herself to dislike her. Sadly, Penelope was still her favorite blood. “What do you want?” she asked solemnly since she knew Penelope was still at the door.
“Father and mother asked me to call you out,” Penelope answered, truthfully.
“Only that?”
There was silence from the outside for some seconds before she spoke up. “They want to discuss something important to you,” she relayed.
Diana nodded her head, “Of course, I know they want to talk to me about getting another job but they don’t have to worry about me, I’m going out to look for a job as they wish,” she uttered.
Penelope didn’t say anything and left since Diana already told her she would be coming downstairs.
A few minutes later, Diana finally got out of her room and made her way down the stairs. On getting to the bottom of the stairs, she met her family gracefully seated, waiting for her arrival.
She let out a sigh and bowed her head to greet them as she tugged her handbag over her shoulder. “I’m off to look for a job as you have requested and I promise to find one as soon as possible,” she swore but her parents didn’t show that they were happy like always.
Instead, her father called out to her, “Take your seat,” he ordered, and to avoid any acrimony, Diana obeyed her father’s instructions.
“We don’t care if you get a job or not since it won’t be useful anymore,” Daniel taunted while Diana raised her eyebrows at him, wanting to understand what he meant and Daniel didn’t take a turn in disclosing it to her. “You’ll be getting married in some days so quit the thought of finding a job and focus on looking your best for your soon-to-be husband. Also, learn to be in your good manners,” Diana disclosed while Diana gazed at him like a lifeless soul.
“Don’t stare at him that way, idiot! do what you’re told to do!” her mother snapped angrily at her.
“I don’t understand what you mean, father,” Diana divulged truthfully. “I’m getting married?!!! When?!!! To whom exactly?” she questioned, but her inquiry was answered with a hard slap landing across.
Diana leaps for joy when the door to her parent’s room opens, revealing her dad. “Father?!” she called and went to him. “Where is my little sister?” She demands and walks to her father.“She’s inside with your mother,” her father answered. “Can I see my little sister now?” She requested and her dad smiled, nodding his head in return. Diana didn’t wait for her dad to say a word before she pushed the door and entered the room her mother was in. She screeched excitedly, seeing her sister, who had just been born. “She’s pretty,” she mumbles and tries to touch her on her cheek, but her mother jerks her hand away.“Can’t you see she’s little?!” Gloria snaps at her daughter. Diana didn’t take her seriously and continued to cower over her junior sister. “What’s her name, mother?” She implored, staring largely at her.Gloria smiles and places her child gently on the bed, then she turns to Diana, “I and your father concluded that her name will be called Penelope,” Gloria disclosed and Diana c
Daniel finally enters the room, and Diana asks him about her gifts.“Oh! That? I forgot to get yours. I tend to forget things so easily these days,” Daniel lied, hurting Diana’s feelings. He has not bought her anything since he feels she doesn’t need them.Diana chokes on her tears at her father’s lies. He claims to forget to buy her gifts, but he bought gifts for Penelope. She feels dejected and disappointed. Was it too hard for him to buy her something even minor? “Okay, father, welcome home,” she greeted out of grievance and hurried up to her room. She enters her room and docks herself on the mattress. She starts to whimper and her heart screams out in agony. What is wrong with her parents? Why are they treating her differently? Is there anything wrong with being their daughter? What if they didn’t have Penelope? Would everything have been good?Penelope is a source of happiness to them from the time she was born, but it seems she is the root of all that is happening to her. Yet,
“You got fired? And you have the nerve to come to tell us that?” Daniel yelled at her, anger could be seen all over his face. Maybe it is taking everything they have for them to hold it in. They look like they are going to pounce on her any minute. Diana did not understand what exactly was going on. She knew her parents didn’t like her, but not to the extent of blaming her like this. Could she gain their sympathy instead of hatred? She did nothing wrong. “It wasn’t my fault. I...” She tried to say as words failed to get out of her mouth.Gloria stood up, ready to attack Diana. Somehow, she stopped halfway.“You ungrateful wench! We didn’t raise you to be like this! Are you that shameless now?”“What?” Diana slowly asked, losing her voice and strength.“You think I don’t know how undisciplined and useless you are? Do you think we’d believe a lie like that? Seducing your coworker and going ahead to attempt murder, you’re lucky you are not in jail. What would people say about us?” Glor
All he did was continue to watch her badly beaten by Quincy, unable to do anything even if he felt like he should snap his head out of his neck. He twisted his hands into a wrecking ball, gritting his teeth in fury. It was the moment for him to prove his love, but he couldn’t. The person beating up the love of his life was an Alpha, and he was just his Beta. How could he have control over him? His heart ached when his gaze met Elena’s. Seeing her weep makes his wolf dangled angrily inside of him. Yet, he needed to control himself from letting his wolf take over. He took some steps forward to where Quincy was and tried calling his name, but the brutal man didn’t spare him a glance instead Luna’s beating increased. “Stop it, Quincy!” Andrew growled at his Alpha and at that point, he earned a glance from Quincy at how disrespectful he had acted. “Enough, Quincy, you’re going to hurt her,” he warned, trying to create peaceful air in the room but it only angered the Alpha. “I dare you t
