5. Kayden’s whore

“It’s Kairav” I immediately completed the name, seeing that I had pissed him off.

Kai closed the refrigerator with a loud bang, and I was surprised it did not fall apart. He walked out of the kitchen, and I could not tell if he was mad at me.

“Kairav is a nice name,” Matteo patted the rabbit's head.

“Kai was pissed”

“He did not let me finish” I replied Kayden and Preston chuckled.

“You are really interesting” he stood up from his chair “I look forward to spending more time with you. Amber” he smiled at me before leaving.

Preston was different from the rest of the brothers, he wasn’t cold like Kai or cheerful like Marcus and Matteo, he gave me this warm feeling but he looked cold.

I was about to take a pancake from the plate and noticed that my plate was empty.

“Matteo” Kayden shouted at Matteo who was about to leave the room.

“Thanks for the breakfast” he smiled before running outside.

After breakfast, Kayden decided to take me to the mall and Matteo told me he was going to take care of Kairav.

I found out that Matteo was a nature and animal lover, while Marcus was a nerdy science guy, they may be identical but have different preferences.

We got to the shopping mall and I was surprised at how big it was.

Aunt Kate and I only buy stuff during the moon festival, which was always held a day before the full moon.

We entered the mall and a girl with blonde bouncy curls walked towards us.

“Alpha Kayden,”

Kayden was wearing a cap and my guess was that he does not want to be noticed, and it seems he sucks at his disguise.

The girl who I guess works at the mall was giving Kayden a flirtatious look as she curled her hair with her fingers, she was smiling like a girl meeting her high school crush.

“You said you were going to call me last week” she pouted

“I am sorry, Anna…”

“I am not Anna”

“Uhnnn… Lily” it was clear that Kayden could not remember her.

“No, it's June” she pouted as she stomped her feet lightly.

Kayden was the playboy type, and sometimes I do wonder how his mate was going to feel knowing that her mate had slept with half of the she wolves in the pack.

Aunt Kate always told me about how beautiful having a mate was, and I always wanted to find mine.

“Oh…” Kayden rubbed the back of his neck.

I was trying so hard not to laugh at their awkward situation, and I guess I could not hold it as a chuckle escaped my lips drawing her attention.

“Who is she,” June asked, she had an annoyed look on her face and I could tell she was going to mistake me for one of Kayden's whore.

I wanted to clear the air, but he held my hand stopping me from talking.

“We are here to shop for clothes” he wasn't lying but I was sure June here was going to misunderstand.

Her eyes moved to our hands and back to him, I could tell that she already thought that I was his girl.

“You would not mind showing her the dresses you got”

“Sure” she tried so hard to smile at me “come this way please”

I looked at Kayden and he nudged for me to follow her.

I walked behind her as she led me through the store and showed me different dresses.

I could tell she wanted to say something but she refrained herself, it was obvious she did not like me and she gave a negative vibe.

She showed me to the dressing room, but she stopped me from entering.

“You don’t have to try too much, he will be done with you in less than a week” She did not wait for my reply and sashayed off. I had wanted to tell her that she was misunderstanding everything, but it seemed there was no use, I would just let her figure it out herself.

I entered the dressing room to try on the dresses I had picked. I tried on a sky blue dress with black print on it, it really looked pretty.

After trying several other clothes, I changed back to the red floral dress I had gotten from Shawn and went to look for Kayden holding the bags.

I met Kayden sitting on a couch in the men's section.

He saw me and frowned. He walked up to me with a pissed expression, removing his jacket, he placed it over my shoulders.

“What's wrong,” I asked him, confused.

He took the bags from my hand and led me back into the changing room, giving me other clothes to change into.

I was confused at first, but when I entered the dressing room, I noticed that my dress was ripped.

My face burned bright red, I felt really embarrassed knowing that I had walked around the store half dressed.

I knew it was June, to think she could do something as petty as this really irked me.

After changing into the jeans and t-shirt Kayden had given me, I left the dressing room to see Kayden and June who were kneeling with tears falling down her cheeks as she begged. Beside her was a man who I think would be the manager, he was scolding her. All the clothes I had shopped for were on the floor, and I realized she had not just ruined my dress but everything that I had bought.

If I had cleared the air maybe jealousy would not have overwhelmed her.

“Kayden” I called out to him.

They all turned to me and I could tell he was pretty mad.

“Fire her” Kayden growled at the manager, before walking to meet me.

“Are you okay” his voice sounded calm and I nodded.

We left the shop and proceeded to his car.

I expected him to start the car, but his hands were just on the steering wheel.

“Are you okay Kayden”

Kayden was always teasing but seeing him this angry showed me another side of him.

“If it's about the clothes, it's fine”

“No it's not fine” I flinched at his tone.

“I am sorry” he looked really stressed as he ran his hand through his hair “Shawn or Nathan should have followed you here, it's all my fault”

I touched his hand, he looked at me surprised and I leaned towards him my face reaching closer to his. Our faces were only a few inches apart and I think I was overdoing it because our faces were close.

Kayden's eyes met mine and he closed them inching closer to me and I immediately pulled back and laughed.

His eyes flew open and glared at me,

“You just had to leave me suspended”

“It's payback for last time, and it seems I am not bad at it either” I gave a sheepish smile.

I only did it because I wanted him to know I was not mad at him for what June caused.

“If you want to do it, do it better”

It happened in a swift moment, I did not know when Kayden’s face moved closer to me and his lips pressed to mine.
