Chapter twenty one

Kayla’s POV

She squealed excitedly as we zipped around the room while someone stood at the door looking at us. It was the old man.

“You know you could join us,” I said before looking up to see him smiling. “Standing there is creepy if you're not gonna join us.”

“I do want to join you. I’m only concerned with how you’re doing now.”

“I’m okay.” All Willow said to me haunted my insides. I wanted to make up for it. “Are you doing anything today?”

“Well, I’ve got to get to work and get into the…” he stopped talking and shook his head. “Actually, I’m not doing anything today. We can go ahead to do whatever you want.”

I smiled, standing to my feet to meet him as we hugged.

“Let’s go out and spend some time outside. Just the three of us.”

“Where do you want us to go?”

“I was thinking you guys would show me around.”

Willow jumped to her feet.

“I’ve got a few places I know we can visit.”

She was really excited as she ran out of the room.

“Don’t you say the arcade house!” The man yelled out as
