Chapter twenty nine

When we reached the top of the building, he dropped me on the roof before pointing to the rising sun before us.

It was beautiful to behold.

This was what he wanted to show me this early. In all my years, I had not seen anything as good as this before. This was amazing.

I pointed to the dust which painted the sky golden and the rising sun in the horizon made the scenery all the more cinematic.

“This is beautiful,” I said.

“I know,” the man chuckled. “Let’s sit.”

I followed him to the edge of the building, sitting with my legs dangling over the roof.

I was happy looking into the horizon. It was quiet and peaceful, something I had not experienced back at the pack.

Being away from the pack and still feeling a sense of security and happiness was something that I had never thought was possible.

“Are you okay?” He asked, looking at me with a loving look in his eyes.

“Yes I am,” I gave off. “I just want to understand how you decided that this place was the best place for you to relax.”
