Emily dashed into the restroom the moment she realized his absence. She slammed the door behind her after she swooped into one of the stalls, she felt her nose running and she watched in the mirror, with horror-filled eyes as black blood drizzled down her nostrils.
Her jaw dropped in shock; her heart thumping like giant raindrops slapping against an iron roof. With shaky hands, she began rinsing the blood off, her breathing so solid; save for the running water, she doubts the heaviness of it remaining in the enclosed space she was in.
Grabbing a final handful of water from the running tap, she noticed the scratch on her wrist, the exact place his surprisingly razor-sharp fingers had dug into. She could still feel his finger digging into the area, his eyes; dark as night, boring into hers as if reaching for her soul.
She breathed out, managing to shut her mouth.
Alas! He found her.
Her gaze moved to the sink, observing as the thick dark blood from her nose ran into the sink.
Did her see her bleed? She hoped not. He would figure her out immediately if he did and she doubts greatly that she would be spared.
She thought of him again, his structure. He had changed, so dangerously changed.
Was that why she didn't recognize him at first? Her memories of him we're clear since she began having those nightmares and her parents had told her to avoid him at all cost before they passed away. They had told her he was seeking her and she must do everything she could to avoid him.
According to the nightmares and their stories, he was her mate who wanted nothing but to kill her. Ordinarily, she would have wondered why her mate would want nothing but to end her, but the nightmares gave her just enough answers.
Just like him, she was cursed and he was going to kill her to end that curse.
Emily stared at her reflection, what if he figured her out already despite her effortful try to prove her identity wrong to him. Is he already taking her soul? In a rush, her palms moved to her neck and she looked around the room she was in, hastily. Seeing nothing amiss, she breathed out in relief but her mind was still filled with worry.
He would have killed her right away if he didn't believe her right?
After all he came here solely to take her life.
As the thoughts ravaged her head, Emily concluded that the Demon Alpha he had written in the pages of her book wasn't just a nickname, it is who he was, who he had become. And it all began from her.

Diego slammed his fist into the platform, sending it to crash and break symmetrically. A thin long disturbing sound synced through his head and he grabbed it, burying his head in-between his thighs deeply to muffle the upsetting sound and ease the pain reverberating through his entirety. Groans after groans spilled from his vocal cord.
"She's her.. for fuck sake!" He gritted, the pain washing off in his words. "She's Kyra!"
"Diego--
He snapped up his head at Zayr, his breathing hard; the sword, buried deep in his chest, glittering under the moonlight. His eyes were now dark and penetrating, startling Zayr for a second.
"You still didn't say what happened." he managed to subtly complete his words.
Diego breathed out hugely, the anger in his eyes diminishing only by a drop.
"How accurate did the witch say the orb is?" He asked, his voice an icy mess.
"About fifty percent. It was the best she could do since you are..well since the moon goddess.." the words trailed off, Zayr didn't know how to describe the situation without sounding offensive.
"Did she deny it?"
Diego gritted, "I fucked up, I made a fucking mistake but why is it so hard to fix? Do you detest your own that much?!" He yelled with his head raised towards the sky, at the moon goddess. "I am the fuckin Alpha, not this mess you made of me!"
"What are you going to do now?" Zayr asked subtly but Diego gave him no response.
"What if the orb is wrong--
"It's not. I can't explain it but I know damn well, it's not!"
"Remember there was a mix-up like this in the past, you almost killed an innocent--
"This is different! She's Kyra. That fucking bitch is messing with me" he gritted, his fist tightening.
"What are you going to do?"
A smirk shifted his lips, "the only thing I should do to that bitch" his breathing was heavy.
"This is not our world, Diego. You should know better than any wolf that things work differently in this part of the world"
"Maybe I'm not aware of that anymore"
"You're making a mistake, Diego-" Zayr stood up, halting as Diego swiftly turned to him. He lowered his gaze, his expression etched with concern and disapproval.
"A mistake?" He scoffed.
"The moon goddess made a mistake the moment she created this being, I am a demon now, Zayr. I can't die a second time" as he moved to the exit, his face hot and messy with sweat and rage, he knew his mind was now made up.

Emily held her bag straps as she stepped into the road, she knew she looked miserable amongst the other road users but she gave no care to that. Desperate looks were thrown at her, some fixed but Emily was not bothered. She had in her mind, a heaviness that she was certain would crush her if she added anymore to it.
She needed to get home and pack up, needed to leave the country as hurriedly as she could. That was the only way Emily knew she could hide from him.
It was unfortunate, he had to appear just when she was getting her life properly started but the assurance of living and probably experiencing an even better life in the future, made her even more determined to leave. Anything is better than dying, right?
It would only take a short time before he figures her out and snaps life out of her, and that is the sole cause for her haste.
Just in the middle of the road, Emily stopped. Despite the number of gazes fixed her way, she felt a different one, it was so intense that she felt her skin grow goosebumps. Her heart thumped heavily as the stare got familiar, dangerously familiar.
She could still feel the similarity from when he had her pinned to the wall, from when he tried to strangle her in her dreams.
He's here.
She heard the thumping of her heart so loudly in her ears as she looked around hastily, trying to catch his stare. Although, she didn't see him; she knew he was there, watching her, probably waiting for a time to strike.
Run away? Emily's subconscious scoffed at her already set-out plan.
He's an Alpha Demon. He found her after twenty years of seeking, how foolish she was to have thought he was going to let her off his sight so easily.
How did she think she could run away from him a second time?
How foolish!
Emily heard screams, horrified screams and she heard her name being yelled in horror, the voices faintly familiar.
Lights, sharp and bright poured on her face, and in a snap, she regained her sanity only to see a truck driving towards her; honking so loudly, Emily felt her ear drums pleading for mercy.
She tried to run, saw the crowd that had now gathered pleading with her to but somehow she couldn't move, she couldn't even lift her feet. Her heart leapt into her mouth and she shut her eyes, awaiting for fate to take its full cause, tears pouring from her eyes as her life flashed before her eyes.
Is it not better after all to die this way than in the hand of an Alpha turned demon, she betrayed?
With her eyes still shut, Emily felt herself being lifted and yanked off the road; her head bumping into a street light, blood streaking down the open wound.
Faintly opening her eyes, she scanned the area, searching for her savior but there was no one.. slowly, it dawned on her.
..If not by his hands; he wasn't going to let her die any other way..
Emily cussed under her breath before passing out.
cussed under her breath, passing out slowly.

...**Emily**~I winced erratically as I placed the band-aid carefully on the already treated wound. I stared at the mess on my dressing table before darting my gaze to the mirror seated in front of me. From the mirror, I could see my study area occupied with loads of assignments and unfinished projects on the table, unlike any other school day I couldn't find strength to work on them today. Today's event was in full control of my thoughts. The fact that my supposed past had finally caught up with me haunted my memory. One thing I know for sure, is he isn't going to spare me. It took him twenty years to get to me, twenty years of continuously living with the new being I created in him, the demon I supposedly made him become; how can he possibly spare me?He is a Demon, a cursed Alpha and I am his prey. I walked to the door and twist the knob but there was no budge, I tried it again and gave up after a few more trial. I left the door and began searching for my bag, I found it hanging down a stand and I immediately took it off the hook; reaching inside it for my cellphone. Just as I felt it, I h

Alpha Diego's POV .. I sat tiredly on the chair, releasing a heavy sigh of perspiration. Knowing I was without a choice as I would eventually die by the sword, I settled to use it. It was the only way to get rid of my enemies who were laughing in scorns to my face, I was that arrogant. *Emily's POV* .. I carelessly flung my bag across my shoulder as I ran down the street now standing opposite the gigantic tall building; I took a glance at my wrist and cussed when the time came into view. I was ten minutes late already. Just my first week and I already have a record for lateness. In my disheveled state, I hurried into the building, ignoring the desperate stares I got as I walked on. I ran up the staircase in twos, checking each tag on the door for my class. With my bag dangling behind me in massive sways, I took a stop in front of a door after confirming the inscription on the smooth glassy surface. Running towards the door after my sudden halt, I felt my bags suddenly starting to wear me off.
