Tasyra

“I hate all of you!” I screamed repeatedly as the guards dragged me roughly to my cell. My skin brushed violently against the ground because I was resisting. “Leave me alone!” I screamed at the guards while I kicked.

I was finally thrown into my cell. The little fire that was in it was taken away and I was locked up in the dark. I kept screaming and banging on the door for hours, but nobody came.

I knew the stunt I pulled was a bold one, I knew I had insulted the seat of the Luna, but I didn't care. For years I have been made to suffer. I was twenty years old, but I looked like I was sixty. My skin was wrinkly and old. I had burns from the sun and wound marks from excessive work and punishment. Why was I treated like that? Ever since I knew myself, I had been a slave to the Luna and her family. I was born into captivity, I didn't know my mother nor my father and whenever I asked anyone, they would not reply because the Luna had ordered that no one spoke my mother's name.

“How dare you?!”The skin on the left side of my face felt the burning sting. It made my eyes water and my temples throbbed more painfully.“I’m s-sorry. It was not intentional.”I apologized in a broken, low voice that was trying not to produce a crying sound. My hand clutched the side of my face that had just received a painful hit.“You slave, kneel!”The Luna commanded and I did without hesitation. What had happened was an accident, it was not done intentionally but the Luna was glad to have seen an opportunity to punish me again. The tea I’d been asked to bring to the Beta’s daughter, Zaryn was now spilled on the young woman’s body, some had spilled to the floor. Even though I had apologized, Zaryn still raised a hand to my face. I was not usually this clumsy and the Luna knew it, but I’d been ill for the past two days and I was expected to do my duties even with the sickness.“Look at my beautiful clothes, Luna. The clumsy maid has ruined it”Zaryn whined angrily.“I’m so sorry

“What are you doing?”I heard the voice but I was too weak to see who they were talking to. Moreover, it was not my business who the person was talking to. I was dead tired, my back hurts so much. My waist was on fire. I needed to rest else I might end up faint from exhaustion and malnourishment.“Am I not talking to you, Tasyra?”Anger and irritation dripped heavily on every spoken word, and I had to look up to see who knew me enough to talk to me that way. I forced myself to hastily stand and bow when I saw who it was.“Good day, Alpha.”“I asked you a question.”He said, purposely ignoring my greeting. His gaze was sharp and unfriendly. I sighed sadly. “I was resting.”“What are you doing here?”That was when I got what he was trying to say.“I was sent to work on the farm.”“Women are not allowed on the farm.”“The Luna sent me here.”I looked at him, hopeful that he might take in my ill condition and show mercy. He might let me off the hook and ask me to go and rest.“Why? What

“The Alpha requests your presence, Tasyra.”One of the maids came to inform me. My body froze with fear. What have I done this time? Ever since that farm incident, I had been wary and shocked still. When the Alpha had held me to keep me from falling, my body felt the electrifying effect of his hands on me. My body had responded in many ways I could not explain. That casual contact had awoken something in me, and when I’d looked at his face in astonishment, I’d seen it in his eyes too. He’d felt it and he’d been stunned as I was. And then, his wolf had flashed through his eyes and I heard the deep growl and the word ‘Mate’ from him. I had not just been shocked, I’d been confused too. More confused even because how could I be the mate of an Alpha. But the yearning whimper of my wolf pinched my heart and I knew it wasn’t a trick. The Alpha was truly my mate, but why? How? I had seen him few times after that farm incident but he had avoided me, did not talk to me. And it hurt. It hurt be

  • My Alpha Mate    Chapter Four

I woke up the next morning wearing a huge smile. Ever since the death of my mother, I had not smiled that big. In fact, I had not smiled at all. With my pitiable life here in the manor, there was no place for happy emotions but today was different. I was tinkled pink remembering what had transpired last night between me and the Alpha. He had made love to me three times. There was still the soreness to prove it. I had left early this morning before the manor woke and ran back to my room.I wondered when the Alpha would make it known to the public. I could not wait to be by my mate’s side and spend forever with him. I quickly prepared and got ready for the day.“Good morning.”“Good morning, Tasyra.”The maid I’d saw as I walked into the kitchen greeted me back, it was also the maid who had come to inform me that the Alpha wanted to see me. Then she looked at me in wonder.“What has got you in such a good mood this morning?”“Nothing.”“You’re grinning from ear to ear.”“Let’s just say

I was at the point of giving up. I hurt all over, both emotionally and physically. Mentally too, I was drained. Ever since the Alpha chased me out of his chamber, the Luna had extremely been on my case. Sending me from one place to the other. Making sure I was involved in a lot of strenuous activities even those that were meant for men alone, she commanded me to do it.It was noon already, the sun was beaming brilliantly and I was yet to have breakfast. While others had been taking breaks and eating, I was made to continue working. I cried from the sheer unfairness of it all until my eyes were puffy, my voice was cracked and the tears had stopped coming.“The Luna wants to see you.”My heart beat increased and I sighed and willed myself to remain calm. I left the farm and began walking towards the manor. My steps were slow and dragged but who could blame me? Working for hours under a scorching sun without food, just water was bound to do that to anyone.“Yes Luna.”I bowed my head whe

“What I have done to you?” My voice was shaky with tears. How could she threaten to make life hell for me? Was it my fault the Moon Goddess made the Alpha my mate? Why did everything have to be my fault? She raised her hand and brought it down on my face, it left a stinging sensation in its wake. Tears filled my eyes, blurring my vision. “How dare you, slave girl? How dare you?” She seethed.“But..but…” I could not form any words. I was in pain, both emotionally and physically. My chest constricted in pain. What have I done wrong? Why was Zaryn behaving this way to me?“Shut up, Tasyra.” She shunned me. “The next time you’ll talk when I’m talking, I’ll kill you. I don’t care whose mate you are.” She spat in my face.I kept quiet, watching anger and meanness flicker on her face. I hated what was happening to me? First, it was the Alpha rejecting me after a night of bliss between us, then the Luna treating me like some a piece of trash, as she usually did. Now, it was Zaryn. I sighed, k

“It’s break time.” I heard that same familiar voice say.I paused in my work and raised my face to his, using my hand to shield the sun from disrupting my view. He was holding something this time, and it was water, that I was sure of. “They do break times here?” I asked him. I was still new to this farm work so I had no idea how it usually went. “Of course, why not? We need to fuel our system too.” He chuckled softly. My gaze flickered on his face, I was feeling a bit abashed. I spread my lips in a small, coy smile. I lowered my head, directing my eyes back to the berries I was picking. The farm was quite expansive, one could not see the end but the beginning. And I was given a large portion to focus on alone, courtesy of the Luna. “I still have work to do.” I told him. I knew he had said it was break time but I was scared. What if the Luna saw me seating without working? The others, as workers, were allowed to have breaks, but it was a form of punishment for me. I was definitely

“So she just started hating you for no reason?” He asked me. We were almost done with eating, and not wanting to seem greedy especially since he was the owner who was benevolent enough to let me join him, I stopped eating. He looked at me inquisitively. ”Why did you stop eating?”“I’m done, I’m okay.” I lied, smiling. “Thank you for the food.”“I don’t believe you.” He pushed the food closer to me.“But why? It’s your food, you should eat more.” I told him, trying to steer the food towards him.“I don’t agree with you, let’s both keep eating until we both see the end. I don’t care who brought the food.” He was being stubborn, and it was in a good way though. I would not lie, the way he was showing concern and care was overwhelming but I was too scared to let myself get involved with him. Not for any intimate reasons, but even for the sake of simple friendship, I was scared.I did not have any friends and I was used to it. The Luna did not want to see me happy with anyone, not even a

Alpha Haden The door of my room swung open with force, “Has everyone forgotten how to knock?” I questioned without looking at who did it“You asked Zaryn to leave your room? Is that how you will treat her when she becomes Luna?” Mother’s voice rang in my room“Not again!” I sighed in a low voice. I was not ready for an argument but I had to give a reply that would make sense to her so she could leave me to my thinking. “I was not feeling too well, I needed my space”“What space is greater than the company of your mate?” Mother saidI shrugged uncomfortably at the mention of the title mate. When I heard people call her my Luna, I could bear it because a Luna’s duty was mainly for the pack. But the title ‘mate’ irked me greatly, because if she was my mate, her duty is of great extent to me and I am equally expected to love her. To make matters worse, we would have to be lovers who would be intimate on occasion, “Eww,” I murmured in disgust Mother’s lips pursed, “You have a very poor a

Alpha HadenI saw four guards dragging Tasyra out of the guard quarters. She was stark naked and I wondered why she was not given a cloth to cover herself. Why was she treated so harshly and embarrassingly? I called out to the guards, “Stop! Find something and cover her up with it.” As they went to bring clothes for Tasyra, I looked away. I could not stare Tasyra straight in the eyes, I was somewhat disgusted at her.“Alpha Haden, I swear to the Moon goddess! I didn't do it! This is an implication! I did not sleep with him please, believe me!” Tasyra screamed trying to get my attention I didn't look at her, if I did I was sure I would cry and look like a weak Alpha. Something in me wanted to speak with her, but I could not just stand her at that moment. I thought of the possibility that she was framed, “Take her away” I instructed the guards. They dragged her away while she pleaded and shouted my name“Haden!” my mother's voice called out to me, but I ignored it. “Haden!” she called

LianeI looked at the sight of Tasyra lying pitifully on the ground after the impact of me pushing her.“You did this!” She screamed at meI was wowed, she got more courageous by the day. The more she displayed her contempt for me, the more I felt like I was losing my grip on her. I had to do something, she could not scream at me and go free, it would give her the impression that I was getting soft. “How dare you!” I bent down and gave her a huge slap, making sure that my overly-sized bangles also hit her face, leaving a mark of both my palm and my jewellery on her face. She screamed at the impact of the slap. I thought it would silence her, but she got up, grabbed my gown and continued screaming, “You framed me! What did I ever do to you? You make my life miserable every day! Why!? Why!?” I was flustered by her actions, she was tugging at my gown with immense strength and screaming on top of her voice. I had never seen her act like that and I could tell she was disoriented. Why has

Alpha HadenIt was very early in the morning. I got out of bed by 4 am and I decided to go to my usual place in the field for my early morning meditation. Before Gaya decided to stop talking to me, it was the both of us who did the meditation together.“Haden,” I heard a familiar voice call me, it was my mother.I turned to look at her and I smiled, “Mother”“Come, I need to show you something urgent,” there was an unusual calmness in her voice. If it was urgent, why were her emotions not speaking urgency?Standing up to my feet and following her, I replied, “What is the matter?”We walked in silence to the guard quarters and I wondered why. I was curious, I fought the urge to ask her where she was taking me, but I knew she would want me to be patient, that is how she was“Hello darling!” another familiar voice called out with a smile on her face as we were almost in the guards’ quarters, it was Zaryn. When I saw her, I raised an eyebrow. Did my mother just disturb my meditation to ta

Tasyra“I can not do what the Luna said I should do, No!” I cried while curled up in my cell, “I can not bring my child into a world of mockery from this rumour I am about to spread, No!” I wearily got up and started using my hand to feel the wall of the dark cell. I tried to get to the hidden place where I and Fagel had stored our tools for escape. I was going to escape. Although I had discarded a few tools due to fear of being cut, I still had the map and notes on the guard routines. I was going to escape by hook or crook.I heard a blonde-haired girl gasp as I worked on my portion in the field. “He is dead!?” she asked her friend during their discussion, “How did you know?”“ I saw people gathered in front of his house and his wife was crying, so I decided to check” her friend who had brunette hair responded, “Garn was such a good man, he suffered a lot,” she sighed“Garn is dead?” I asked them in a high-pitched voice so they could hear me. They both looked at me with visible scorn

  • My Alpha Mate    Chapter-Twenty Eight

ZarynMy descent into villainy had roots in my troubled past. I was not always a villain as people thought. I once had a loving mother who took care of me after I was born with a rare condition that made me weak and sickly. I was not like other werewolf pups and my sickness bothered my family. My father saw me as a burden and a disgrace, but my mother loved me unconditionally. She was the only one who cared for me and protected me from the harshness of the pack. After several treatments and prayers, my mother decided to take matters into her own hands. She took me to her werewolf pack, where a renowned medicine man lived. She hoped that he could find a cure for my ailment. Our hope was shattered when an enemy pack attacked us during our stay. The enemy pack were ruthless and bloodthirsty, and they slaughtered everyone in their path. My mother tried to shield me from the attackers during the war, but she was overpowered and killed. “Mother!” I screamed as I watched my mother's lifel

Zaryn“Wow!” I clapped repeatedly as I made my way into the room. I had heard Liane yelling and I rushed to find out why, but when I got there the scenery made me stand by the corner to watch with a wide smile of anticipation. I was disappointed that Liane had not ripped Tasyra's belly open and dragged that abomination of a child out of it, but how she spoke to Tasyra made me happy. I loved the way she made Tasyra tremble in fear, I loved that Tasyra was made to beg every time, I loved how she had torn Tasyra's skin with the knife and it only took self-control for me not to rush to Liane's hands and push the knife into Tasyra's gut.‘Zaryn!” Liane's cornflower blue eyes lit up as she made her way to the table and took a sip of her lemon tea.“Does the tea boost your confidence!” I asked her in admiration“Try it and see,” she said as she dropped the cup on the table. She stood up and walked towards me. “ Why did you come so early today? Did you miss your skincare routine,” she perked

But to my surprise, her anger quickly morphed into a cunning look.“You are a stubborn girl,” she said, her tone light and amused. “You have such strong convictions, and yet you are still an omega,” she scoffed I said nothing to her, I was just wondering why she suddenly stopped being angry, “What was the Luna up to?” I thought.“Tell me, Tasyra,” her voice lowered to a whisper, “How Would you like to be more than a slave? How would you like to have a better life?”I was taken aback by the Luna's question. I had never considered the possibility of having a better life. I had always tho
