Just when I opened my eyes, I found out that I was already alone in bed. I immediately put on my clothes to start looking for James. He's not in the room and I have this bad feeling. I rush outside the mansion, my heart pounding so fast.

“James!” I screamed when I found him outside.

The fear that I had felt earlier faded away after I found him. I really thought James had already left me.

James stopped talking to his armies just to approach me with his furrowed brows. The first thing he did was to give me a kiss on my lips.

“I… I thought you're gone, James. You're not beside me when I woke up. I thought you left me and—”

He didn't let me finish talking when he immediately cut me off by interrupting.

“Hey, I'm just here. I didn't really want to leave you in the room, but I received a call that we have visitors,” James responded to me, his hands still around my waist.
