Chapter 131: Ava's Life Is In Danger

After I walked out from James’ mansion, I decided to stroll the area, hoping to make myself busy so that I could forget about James and Ava for a moment. Lilian didn’t speak to me because she knew that I needed time to think.

The stroll that I did took me about an hour and when I returned to the mansion, I was surprised to see a lot of James’ men scattered everywhere.

‘What’s going on here?’ Lilian asked. I was furrowing my brows as well, especially when I noticed the reaction from their faces.

“Luna Emerald is here!” One of James’ warriors shouted, making everyone turn their heads at me.

I kept on walking until I finally reached them. All of James’ warriors approach me as if they want to check me.

“Leave.” James came and he asked his men to leave us alone.

I looked at him, confusion clouding to my face. “What’s happening here?”

He shook his head and walked over until he reached me. James checked my body as if he wanted to make sure that I was alright.

“Where have you been?”
