Chapter Two: Forbidden Mate

Easton’s POV

After 3 hours of driving, I’m finally back to this fucking disgusting place.

Noah waits in the doorway and gives me a hug after I park my car" Thought you won’t be back for Olivia's birthday."

Of course, I’m not here for that boring birthday party, it’s time to have the medicine from Dr Reid. It’s almost two months, and the last one I took is wearing off. I’m not gonna let Noah knows this as nobody knows about the medicine thing except me and Dr. Reid. "Anything special?"

"Not much, most packs are in peace."Noah hesitates"Our warriors found the trace of Rogue two days ago, no harm so far."

"Show no mercy." Rouge... shouldn’t exist in this world.

"Definitely not." Noah answers firmly.

"Thanks to you and David, for all things." I look deeply into Noah’s eyes.

Comparing managing the pack plundering on the business field of the human world is more into me. It helps me stay remote and forget everything, the moonless night, the rogue and.. Iris. I knew I wasn't fulfilling my role as the future Alpha, Noah and his father sacrificed far more than I did.

"Are you the real Easton?"Noah laughs"How about help me invite Iris to a date?"

Iris.. My fucking sister.

"Joking. You are definitely the wrong person to ask for the favour." Noah seems to sense my displeasure. "Alpha is waiting for you."

Alpha, my father, was also the one who abandoned my mom. If he didn’t insist to hold the Alphas’ meeting, so dig into his power, my mom won’t die, killed by that damn cursed Rogue.

I don't really want to see him, medicine first. Walking to Dr. Reid's house which is a ten-minute walk from the Alpha’s house.

Silver Peak has been living in this human town since forty years ago. Half of the pack members live here. The other half remains in the 50km woodland to guard the labyrinth of the Moon Goddess.

I had mind linked to Reid, so he welcomes me at the front door in his wheelchair, guide me to the living room.

"Luckily this medicine must be taken within ten minutes after making it, otherwise you will ask me to call a package and I won’t see you anymore." Reid passes me the medicine and mocks.

"You know I’ll be back at any time if you call me." This medicine is still.. tastes not good, even I already have three years' experience.

"I won't force you, Easton." Reid says seriously, "but you couldn’t escape forever, this medicine can only relieve your desire not dismiss it. Mate bond is strong and holy, you can only accept it or reject it."

"Reid, you know that’s my sister, my fucking sister. It’s forbidden."

"Then why not let her reject you, free yourself. There might be a chance you’ll have the second Mate, like your father..."

"Don’t Reid."I stop him, " I can’t."

Coward.

My wolf Theo growls.

Yes I’m.

I can’t admit Iris is my Mate, it’s sinful, but rejected by her, terminate the closest attachment with her and imagine she mates with others, that almost killing me and turning me into pieces.

I have been struggling with this every second since I found a mate bond with Iris three years ago at my 18 years old mating party. Every one regret for me that they thought I’m still alone without mate.

The mate bond does make me painful, every time when Iris approaches me all my mind is to force her under me, ruin her lips, bite her neck, making her morn and beg me with her tempting, smoky voice, whisper my name when she comes...

I’m becoming a psycho, having this unforgivable desire for my own sister, even though we are half sister and brother.

Reid’s medicine saves me, it can decrease my hunger, and return the fugacious moment of peace. The only disadvantage is I need to take the medicine every two months, and it does not taste..that well.

"You have your own ideas. I just don’t want you to suffer too much. Escape is not solution.” he sighs” If I’m not mistaken, you must haven’t visited Alpha, you go with me, I’ve something to tell your father."

Deny Reid twice a day is not good.

Jade is in the study, he asks the maid to find Iris when he saw us, he never stops trying to make up our brother-sister relationship.

"Welcome back my dear brother." Iris came fast, the smell of freesia on her filling my nostrils.

Goddess, I suppress my impulsiveness, why do I have such a strong feeling even after taking the medicine.

"We don’t have much to talk." please stay away from me, please, I don’t want to hurt you.

After Iris leaves, Reid notices Jades’ suppressed anger, then he quickly reminds Jade of something important to talk. Jade has to let me out first.

Reid mind links me when I leave the room "See you at the party."

"Fine."

I back to my room and the room is still kept clean and tidy. I know it’s Olivia’s order. I can hear the noises outside, some are from humans, some from the members of the pack.

It was already dark when the party started. Reid calls me to the backyard via the mind link.

Fuck, it's moonless tonight. And it’s Olivia’s birthday party. Can’t be better.

While I’m in a trance heading to the backyard, a creature bumps into my arms. Iris, I recognize her at the first second.

She is wearing a white silk dress with smooth touching. She pulled her hair up and shows her neck, where I was always eager to mark every inch with my tongue carefully. The fluff in her hair scratches my chin.

This is literally drug addiction to me. I can't take my eyes off her.

"What?" She asks and her dark brown eyes seem to have flames burning.

She has no right to be angry, she doesn’t know anything. Not knowing that I’m burnt by desire and suffer all the sins alone. Mean words come out of me unconsciously and I see her running to the kitchen.

I didn't sit at the middle table but sat next to Reid.

There is a delightful atmosphere around everyone, Olivia keeps her usual bewitching smile, but I feel like that smile is like unnaturally engraved on a mask.

Is she still dissatisfied?

She has everything that should belong to my mom. While I know it wasn't her fault, however, my mom doesn’t do anything wrong either. I can't stand everything here anymore, lied to Reid that I have business affairs and back to my room, lying on the bed.

This moonless night reminds me of that bloody memory, the night without a moon like tonight, mom shifted to protect me and fight with Rogue, she was the strongest Luna, still not the opponent of that rogue. Her throat was torn apart and blood spurted out, some splashing on my face, warm and thick.

She carried me on her back with all her strength and kept running to the maze of the moon goddess, no werewolf could slay congeners in that territory. Later Reid told me, they found us at the entrance of the maze, I was unconscious, and my mom covered me with her frozen body, she already died. The Rogue left with no trace.

She saved me with her life, she could escape if I was not there.

Since then I’ll lose my scent and eyesight of my wolves every moonless night, it might be a curse.

The lights went out when I drowned in my memory, I growl in the darkness lonely and didn’t notice a drop from my left eye.

Someone step inside my room. "Who’s there?"

No one answers.

The smell of Freesia. It’s Iris.

I feel a soft thing landing on my left eye, licking my tear, then moving to my lips, her tongue sneaking in and shrinking the top of mine tenderly.

My wolf starts restless struggling, like scratching a cage and wanting to burst out. He's been restrained for too long.

Damn, you choose this Iris. I’ve no hesitation this time and attack back.
