Charlie’s POV

The idea of me having a wolf was strange and oddly exciting, a wolf that my father had kept at bay for the last seven years and I wondered how he did it. Max told me that I was being drugged but how, I barely ate, I made my own drinks, my bedroom door was always locked at night so how had he done it.

“Can you take me to see him?” I knew I was pushing my luck but had to ask

Max stared at me, I knew he was weighing up his options “Tomorrow, you need to rest right now, you had a big operation”

I sigh, I knew I was pushing it but I had questions I needed to ask my father “Okay” I agree with Max, I will rest “How long have I been in hospital?”

“Two days” I nod, trying to figure out what day it is, just like he knew what I was thinking “It’s Thursday”

Just two days until my eighteenth, at least I would be able to make my own choices then, as much as I

Max’s POVAs I stepped back into Charlies room, it was obvious that there was tension between her and my brother, but something else was different too, Charlie’s scent had grown stronger and I was fighting the urge to grab her and kiss her there and then.Reminding her to breathe, Charlie growls at me as the cold stethoscope touches her back. It was pretty clear what was happening to her body, the wolfsbane was slowly leaving her system and I mind link Alexander to tell him as much.“You said you did not know how long it would take?” He snaps back at me“I didn’t, but it’s obvious isn’t it?, do you not see that her heritage has something to do with this?”Once again Alexander storms out, he hated being wrong or not being a know it all and I follow him, reminding Charlie to take long deep breathes, when she looks at me, her usual grey blue eyes are a dark grey, an odd colour for a wolf.

Alexander’s POVI knew exactly where Damon would take my mate, he would take her back home and treat her as a slave once again. I left my brother talking to my father in Charlie’s hospital room, I was not waiting around for them to decide her fate.Leaving, I hop back in my jeep and speed off down the road, screw them, I would find her and save her from her wretched father. Driving at top speed, I run some red lights and some stop signs, that would be no problem, it’s easy enough to buy people’s help when you have money. When I arrive at her house, there is no sign that anyone is here, to be honest it looks as if no one has been here for days.I move around the house searching for clues, there must be some little detail, anything that will lead me to her. The house stinks of cigarettes and beer cans are littered everywhere. I check her bedroom, images of her bloody and beaten flit across my mind, but for the first time I really look at he

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Twenty-one

Charlie’s POVThere was very little I could do as he dragged me from my hospital bed, his hand pressed tightly over my mouth, muffling my screams as I tried to fight and get away, he stabbed me in the shoulder with something leaving me in an incredible amount of pain, my body automatically goes limp and no matter how hard I fight it, he flings my unresponsive body over his shoulder and flees the hospital as my eyes drift close. When they eventually open again, they could barely make out anything in the darkness. My mouth was gagged and my broken arm had been bent around my back and bound to my other hand, leaving a shooting pain travelling up my entire arm. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness I could make out the body of another, somebody was slouched against the wall opposite me, with their head hanging.Recognising the hair bun immediately, I try shuffling myself over to him but find my body is tied to the chair I am on and instead I fall sideways crashi

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Twenty-two

Alexander’s POVHe is carrying her once again, why will he not accept that she is mine, not his. A jealous twang hits me hard as I watch her rest her beautiful head against my brothers naked chest, and closes her eyes, why was she so comforted by his touch yet she seemed to recoil when I touch her.Following them into the hospital he lays her gently on the bed carefully placing her arm down in the sling he had made out of his top and leaves to sort out the x-ray machine.Charlie thanks me once again for helping her and Max, I wish she knew that I would do it a thousand times over if it meant saving her.Sitting and watching her for a moment I finally tell her that she is different and she looks at me sceptically and I continue telling her that she is not like the others but I could not muster the courage to tell her about her true heritage of being an Alpha-Luna.Before I could say anymore I leave as Max comes back in, he raises an eyebrow at

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Twenty-three

Max’s POVIt was obvious Damon had no clue that we already knew about Charlie’s status, what we couldn’t figure out was why he was poisoning her for so long and waited until days before her eighteenth to almost kill her.Alexander was getting frustrated, he could not always read between the lines and would quite often jump to conclusions.Anyway it was time to focus on this woman, what did she know about Charlie. As we descend the second staircase, I try to ignore the smell, I understood why father left it this way because it did bring our captives to tears, most just wanted to escape the smell and would eventually cave. The woman was already screaming and shouting about how it was a disgrace that she had been left in these conditions, how she wanted to speak to whoever was in charge and that she would co-operate as long as she could leave her cell.Again we trade places with the guard who left in a hurry, much like the first one.

Charlie’s POVI drop my hands but refuse to move, what the hell had I just done “Charlie” and my head snaps up to meet Max’s gaze “Please, just don’t move”Max rushes to help Alexander off the floor, his nose pouring out with blood and he looks mad as he catches sight of me. I stay perfectly still, there was no way I was moving until someone explained to me what had just happened.I call out to Alexander, apologising for what had happened even though I didn’t know myself. Max helps Alexander to a room nearby and returns to me “Are you okay?” and I very slowly shake my head“What was that Max?” he tells me he doesn’t know and that he will call his mother and father in to see if they know anything. When he asks me to go back to my room, I tell him I am not moving and he asks if he can pick me up, I nod but as I move my head the light above me explodes, sending sparks everywhere an

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Twenty-five

Alexander’s POVI was more than fuming, I cannot believe she broke my nose, more importantly I could not believe how she broke it. All she did was hold her hand out at me in a stop position but when she moved it down, it was like my body was being pulled to the floor with an insane amount of gravity.Max helps me to a side room and a nurse rushes in, I briefly hear Charlie asking Max what had just happened but I did not care, how dare she do that to me.The brunette nurse tells me that she needs to correct my nose position so it could heal quicky and wastes no time in snapping it again, she laughs at the scream I let out and tells me that men are so much weaker than women when it comes to pain. How dare she speak to me that way, just as I was about to shout at her for speaking to me in such a way, Max brings Charlie inside my room and I start to flirt with the nurse, very much against my wolfs will.My eyes cannot help but trail

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Twenty-six

Max’s POVIt was a horrible feeling, having to drug Charlie but it was the only thing that I could think of to stop her making everything explode. As soon as she is asleep everything stops, no exploding lights, no doors rattling or furniture moving and i breathe a sigh of relief. She looked troubled whilst she was sleeping and my mothers words replayed over and over ‘She has been given a gift by the Moon Goddess herself’. The only problem is, no one knew how to help Charlie understand her gift, no-one else had ever come across an Alpha-Luna before and as much as I was confused, all Ripper and I wanted to do was find a way to help her.Her father must know something, otherwise why was he so keen on stopping her reaching her eighteenth birthday? I decide to pay him another visit, alone this time. Calling one of the nurses, I ask them to keep watch over Charlie and as soon as she wakes up to mind link me, I probably had a couple of hours anyway if

Thank you so much for reading everyone, I really appreciate it and would be grateful for any reviews or feedback. I have really enjoyed writing this book and loved every moment of it, but the story is far from over and book two will be coming out soon following Charlie’s quest in finding her hybrid mother and discovering what happens with Alpha Zach as well as what it means to be Queen of the Lycans. Does Charlie find her way back to Max or does she choose Alpha Zach? Will Max stand by his vow? Only time will tell.

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-seven

Max’s POVDamon’s pack had retreated, many had lost their lives from both packs and as the survivors helped the worst wounded, I started to look for Charlie. She was nowhere to be seen along with Alpha Zach, some of the guards inform me that she went inside the packhouse.Entering the house, there was a lot of commotion and I follow the sound to the bedroom Kiwi was being locked in. The door was wide open and as I stepped through the doorway I was shocked to see Alpha Zach, Kiwi who was sitting up on the floor and Charlie who was holding Damon’s head, blood splattered across her face whilst his body was crumpling to the floor. As soon as she sees me, she drops his head which rolls across the floor, stopping inches from my feet, his eyes wide open in fear. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Alexander had said her killing was brutal, yet a part of me didn’t believe it until now, but she literally just pulled a mans head off his bod

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-six

Charlie’s POV The fight continues and yet I still have not seen my father, he would be easy to spot as he looks exactly like me. The Lycans were mostly dark colours when shifted and were easy to spot, a little difficult to figure out who was fighting who but my father was definitely not among them which made me anxious. Alpha Zach links me “Have you seen Damon?” The main idea with me staying higher up and in the centre was because I would be the only one to recognise his Lycan a jet black wolf exactly like myself. “No, not yet” “Keep looking” and he drops the link. Being able to hear the Lycans was odd and I hadn’t told Max yet, as far as he was concerned, he was the only one that could speak to me because we had mated and honestly I wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible. I scan the horizon, bodies were littered everywhere, Wolves, Lycans and some in their human form, but still, my father was nowhere to be seen. What was h

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-five

Charlie’s POVI couldn’t think, I couldn’t eat and I barely slept. Life without Alexander was horrible, he had saved me from a life of hell, always around to cheer me up, put a smile on my face and make me laugh when Max was being all serious and now, now he was gone.I had slept in his bed for three nights in a row, his scent still lingered on his bed but as each day passed, it began to fade and I was worried I was losing him, Gypsy had been giving me the silent treatment as she blamed me for distracting him.Max had tried to convince me to come back to his room but all I wanted was for Alexander to be back. Not having him here was breaking my heart over and over and i felt physically sick. The few times I had left the room I had bumped into Alpha Zach, he never said a word and just bowed his head at me but each and every time, his scent nearly knocked me off of my feet and I wondered if he knew. The fourth night I headed back to

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-four

Max’s POVThere was nothing I could do, I had spent years training and learning about the werewolf form to protect and help everyone in my pack but as I try to stop the flow of blood from my brothers open wound, I knew it was too late, she had pierced his heart and there would be no coming back from that.Whilst Alpha Zach keeps Kayla at bay and forces her to shift back, I focus on making my brother as comfortable as possible in his final stages. Even when I hear him tell Charlie he loved her, it didn’t change how I loved my brother and a part of me felt like it was slowly fading.Deep down I knew he was still mated to her and if that is what he wanted his final words to be then I was going to let him have it.Charlie held on to Alexander’s hands, sobbing uncontrollably. In some ways she probably felt like her mate bond with him was breaking and she needed closure. As Alexander takes his final breaths and his eyes close, Charlie t

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-three

Alexander’s POVI don’t like these men, it was a mistake for Max to invite them here and I could see the way that Alpha Zach looked at Charlie, especially after he called her their Queen. After Max had told them to make themselves at home, the omegas led them away to show the men their rooms, they would be staying in the packhouse with us.“I don’t trust him Max”Max rolls his eyes at me “Look, we need help okay, we cannot take down Damon alone, this has to be why Kiwi wrote his name on the wall, she must be trying to help us in some weird way”“She also wrote down Charlie’s mothers name, do you think she is going to make an appearance too” I was trying to make Max see sense but if we suddenly turned the guests away now, then they would probably attack us.Max sighs, something he was doing a lot lately, “I am trying to do what I think is best for us, for the pack”&ldquo

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-two

Charlie’s POVAlpha Zach was something else, he had muscles bulging through the shirt he was wearing, he was tall with dark hair shaven at the sides, tattoos trailing over the skin that was visible and down into his shirt. His eyes dark as they focussed on me and as he stared at me I felt an overwhelming urge to be with him and his scent told me that he had the same urge.As he calls me Queen I quickly mutter a good morning and rush inside, dragging Kayla with me“Who and what the hell is that Kayla and why the hell did he call me Queen?” I felt flustered, excitedly embarrassed about how I acted.“Well, that would be Alpha Zach” she doesn’t get a chance to say anything else as the door opens and Max walks inside with Alpha Zach and his men. Max eyes us warily but doesn’t utter a word.Alpha Zach greets Kayla “It has been a long time Kayla” a smile spreads across Kayla’s face and she giggle

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-one

Max’s POVI couldn’t stand how close he was to Charlie and the growl came frome somewhere deep inside me, warning him to get away from my mate. As he moves away I see the wound to Charlie’s stomach, the burn marks already healing and her skin slowly knitting together but she was unconscious.I didn’t think Kiwi was still able to use her powers but I was clearly wrong, even as Kayla and I dragged her back to her room she was screaming, kicking and trying to throw small purple balls of mist at us. She had taken out two of the guards but thankfully they were already recovering and healing quickly.I couldn’t shout or punish Kiwi, she just wasn’t capable of understanding what she was doing, although she kept calling Charlie a murderous cow over and over.Kayla asked me if she could stay with her for a while, it was a strange request but I agreed on one condition, that she does not kill Kiwi, she nods her head and I pull the

Alexander’s POVWith both Max and Charlie gone, it left just Kayla and me. I was uncomfortable being here with my rejected mate and I am sure she felt the same way. The Moon Goddess really had a lot to answer too.“I’m sorry Alex” her voice is high pitched and squeaky and one of her blonde locks drops out of the messy bun and falls over her face.“Don’t call me that Kayla” The only person that I wanted to call me Alex was CharlieShe drops her eyes “It was never supposed to be this way, I was never meant to fall in love” she peers at me through her long eyelashes. I knew exactly what she was doing, all the girls I had been with in the past were exactly the same.“I’m sorry Kayla but I love Charlie” there was that dark flash in her eyes again“You are not mated to Charlie, you are mated to me”, she follows me as I leave the room and runs to keep up with my lar
