Alexander’s POV

He is carrying her once again, why will he not accept that she is mine, not his. A jealous twang hits me hard as I watch her rest her beautiful head against my brothers naked chest, and closes her eyes, why was she so comforted by his touch yet she seemed to recoil when I touch her.

Following them into the hospital he lays her gently on the bed carefully placing her arm down in the sling he had made out of his top and leaves to sort out the x-ray machine.

Charlie thanks me once again for helping her and Max, I wish she knew that I would do it a thousand times over if it meant saving her.

Sitting and watching her for a moment I finally tell her that she is different and she looks at me sceptically and I continue telling her that she is not like the others but I could not muster the courage to tell her about her true heritage of being an Alpha-Luna.

Before I could say anymore I leave as Max comes back in, he raises an eyebrow at

Max’s POVIt was obvious Damon had no clue that we already knew about Charlie’s status, what we couldn’t figure out was why he was poisoning her for so long and waited until days before her eighteenth to almost kill her.Alexander was getting frustrated, he could not always read between the lines and would quite often jump to conclusions.Anyway it was time to focus on this woman, what did she know about Charlie. As we descend the second staircase, I try to ignore the smell, I understood why father left it this way because it did bring our captives to tears, most just wanted to escape the smell and would eventually cave. The woman was already screaming and shouting about how it was a disgrace that she had been left in these conditions, how she wanted to speak to whoever was in charge and that she would co-operate as long as she could leave her cell.Again we trade places with the guard who left in a hurry, much like the first one.

Charlie’s POVI drop my hands but refuse to move, what the hell had I just done “Charlie” and my head snaps up to meet Max’s gaze “Please, just don’t move”Max rushes to help Alexander off the floor, his nose pouring out with blood and he looks mad as he catches sight of me. I stay perfectly still, there was no way I was moving until someone explained to me what had just happened.I call out to Alexander, apologising for what had happened even though I didn’t know myself. Max helps Alexander to a room nearby and returns to me “Are you okay?” and I very slowly shake my head“What was that Max?” he tells me he doesn’t know and that he will call his mother and father in to see if they know anything. When he asks me to go back to my room, I tell him I am not moving and he asks if he can pick me up, I nod but as I move my head the light above me explodes, sending sparks everywhere an

Alexander’s POVI was more than fuming, I cannot believe she broke my nose, more importantly I could not believe how she broke it. All she did was hold her hand out at me in a stop position but when she moved it down, it was like my body was being pulled to the floor with an insane amount of gravity.Max helps me to a side room and a nurse rushes in, I briefly hear Charlie asking Max what had just happened but I did not care, how dare she do that to me.The brunette nurse tells me that she needs to correct my nose position so it could heal quicky and wastes no time in snapping it again, she laughs at the scream I let out and tells me that men are so much weaker than women when it comes to pain. How dare she speak to me that way, just as I was about to shout at her for speaking to me in such a way, Max brings Charlie inside my room and I start to flirt with the nurse, very much against my wolfs will.My eyes cannot help but trail

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Twenty-six

Max’s POVIt was a horrible feeling, having to drug Charlie but it was the only thing that I could think of to stop her making everything explode. As soon as she is asleep everything stops, no exploding lights, no doors rattling or furniture moving and i breathe a sigh of relief. She looked troubled whilst she was sleeping and my mothers words replayed over and over ‘She has been given a gift by the Moon Goddess herself’. The only problem is, no one knew how to help Charlie understand her gift, no-one else had ever come across an Alpha-Luna before and as much as I was confused, all Ripper and I wanted to do was find a way to help her.Her father must know something, otherwise why was he so keen on stopping her reaching her eighteenth birthday? I decide to pay him another visit, alone this time. Calling one of the nurses, I ask them to keep watch over Charlie and as soon as she wakes up to mind link me, I probably had a couple of hours anyway if

Charlie’s POVHe walked into my room with a strange aura, I could not hide from the instant attraction to Alexander, his scent overwhelming me but this time it was different, it was as if his body was calling to me, yet he said or did nothing as he approached me.When he finally stopped at the end of my bed, his green eyes were bright and they were only focussed on me. An unfamiliar feeling washed over me and a part of me wished that he would sweep me up and walk out of here.As I watch him, Alexander runs a hand though his unusually messy ash blonde hair “Look Charlie” he sighs and the image of him calling me a freak resurfaces. “I am sorry, I should not have called you that”.My body moved quick before I had even had a chance to think, I was out of bed and stalking towards him, as I reached him I prodded his chest hard only to be met with a solid muscle, it didn’t budge a centimetre when I prodded “No you should

Alexander’s POVYes, she was finally coming around and was actually agreeing to go to the party father and I had sorted. It was only going to be a few people anyway, now I knew why she did not do parties, I did not want to push my luck by inviting the whole pack although there is a good chance they will find out anyway. Some people just cannot keep their mouths shut.As soon as she agreed, I left, I did not want to give my mate the chance to change her mind. Heading back to the party, I tell father that she will come for a little bit but not to invite too many people.Father grimaces “I’m sorry son, I have invited the pack. It’s not often we get to throw a party”He was right, we had stopped throwing parties so often because they always seem to end in disaster. Hopefully this time would be different. It was literally hours before she turned eighteen, then she would have a choice to make and I prayed to the moon goddess

Max’s POVCharlie went into denial mode but not before calling me every single bad name under the sun. Everything in the room had rattled and she told me to get out. I could see she was fighting back tears, her beautiful blue grey eyes were swimming in them but she refused to let them spill over whilst I was stood there.I tried to talk to her and she just shouted at me telling me to leave again. As I left, I heard something in the room explode and as much as I wanted to turn back and be with her, her anger was radiating from her, being connected to my mate meant that I could feel everything she was feeling and who knows what she is truly capable of when angered.Reaching out to Alexander through mind link was a last resort, I had to tell him the truth even if he did not want to believe it. He reluctantly agreed to meet me.As usual Alexander came on his own time whilst I waited patiently in the pack houses large dining room, the first place Charlie

Charlie’s POVI don’t even remember him coming into my room, let alone curling up and sleeping on his lap, but he looked peaceful and I was extremely relaxed which was the first time in a long time that I had felt this way.As I climbed off of Max’s lap I raided the cupboard where he said there were some clothes that I could wear, he had also put in a new pack of underwear for me, it wastoo big but I was still grateful. As I started pulling on the tshirt I heard is light snoring stop, he was obviously awake and when I glance at him his eyes are closed. I make sure I keep my back to him and finish pulling on the tshirt and joggers.Max acts surprised when I tell him to stop pretending and when he feigns innocence I laugh, the sound makes me jump. I cannot remember the last time I laughed like that or if I had ever laughed before. When I ask him if there is anything he wants to say, he looks at me puzzled until I announce that it is in fac

Thank you so much for reading everyone, I really appreciate it and would be grateful for any reviews or feedback. I have really enjoyed writing this book and loved every moment of it, but the story is far from over and book two will be coming out soon following Charlie’s quest in finding her hybrid mother and discovering what happens with Alpha Zach as well as what it means to be Queen of the Lycans. Does Charlie find her way back to Max or does she choose Alpha Zach? Will Max stand by his vow? Only time will tell.

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-seven

Max’s POVDamon’s pack had retreated, many had lost their lives from both packs and as the survivors helped the worst wounded, I started to look for Charlie. She was nowhere to be seen along with Alpha Zach, some of the guards inform me that she went inside the packhouse.Entering the house, there was a lot of commotion and I follow the sound to the bedroom Kiwi was being locked in. The door was wide open and as I stepped through the doorway I was shocked to see Alpha Zach, Kiwi who was sitting up on the floor and Charlie who was holding Damon’s head, blood splattered across her face whilst his body was crumpling to the floor. As soon as she sees me, she drops his head which rolls across the floor, stopping inches from my feet, his eyes wide open in fear. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Alexander had said her killing was brutal, yet a part of me didn’t believe it until now, but she literally just pulled a mans head off his bod

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-six

Charlie’s POV The fight continues and yet I still have not seen my father, he would be easy to spot as he looks exactly like me. The Lycans were mostly dark colours when shifted and were easy to spot, a little difficult to figure out who was fighting who but my father was definitely not among them which made me anxious. Alpha Zach links me “Have you seen Damon?” The main idea with me staying higher up and in the centre was because I would be the only one to recognise his Lycan a jet black wolf exactly like myself. “No, not yet” “Keep looking” and he drops the link. Being able to hear the Lycans was odd and I hadn’t told Max yet, as far as he was concerned, he was the only one that could speak to me because we had mated and honestly I wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible. I scan the horizon, bodies were littered everywhere, Wolves, Lycans and some in their human form, but still, my father was nowhere to be seen. What was h

Charlie’s POVI couldn’t think, I couldn’t eat and I barely slept. Life without Alexander was horrible, he had saved me from a life of hell, always around to cheer me up, put a smile on my face and make me laugh when Max was being all serious and now, now he was gone.I had slept in his bed for three nights in a row, his scent still lingered on his bed but as each day passed, it began to fade and I was worried I was losing him, Gypsy had been giving me the silent treatment as she blamed me for distracting him.Max had tried to convince me to come back to his room but all I wanted was for Alexander to be back. Not having him here was breaking my heart over and over and i felt physically sick. The few times I had left the room I had bumped into Alpha Zach, he never said a word and just bowed his head at me but each and every time, his scent nearly knocked me off of my feet and I wondered if he knew. The fourth night I headed back to

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-four

Max’s POVThere was nothing I could do, I had spent years training and learning about the werewolf form to protect and help everyone in my pack but as I try to stop the flow of blood from my brothers open wound, I knew it was too late, she had pierced his heart and there would be no coming back from that.Whilst Alpha Zach keeps Kayla at bay and forces her to shift back, I focus on making my brother as comfortable as possible in his final stages. Even when I hear him tell Charlie he loved her, it didn’t change how I loved my brother and a part of me felt like it was slowly fading.Deep down I knew he was still mated to her and if that is what he wanted his final words to be then I was going to let him have it.Charlie held on to Alexander’s hands, sobbing uncontrollably. In some ways she probably felt like her mate bond with him was breaking and she needed closure. As Alexander takes his final breaths and his eyes close, Charlie t

  • My Alpha (Book One)   Chapter Seventy-three

Alexander’s POVI don’t like these men, it was a mistake for Max to invite them here and I could see the way that Alpha Zach looked at Charlie, especially after he called her their Queen. After Max had told them to make themselves at home, the omegas led them away to show the men their rooms, they would be staying in the packhouse with us.“I don’t trust him Max”Max rolls his eyes at me “Look, we need help okay, we cannot take down Damon alone, this has to be why Kiwi wrote his name on the wall, she must be trying to help us in some weird way”“She also wrote down Charlie’s mothers name, do you think she is going to make an appearance too” I was trying to make Max see sense but if we suddenly turned the guests away now, then they would probably attack us.Max sighs, something he was doing a lot lately, “I am trying to do what I think is best for us, for the pack”&ldquo

Charlie’s POVAlpha Zach was something else, he had muscles bulging through the shirt he was wearing, he was tall with dark hair shaven at the sides, tattoos trailing over the skin that was visible and down into his shirt. His eyes dark as they focussed on me and as he stared at me I felt an overwhelming urge to be with him and his scent told me that he had the same urge.As he calls me Queen I quickly mutter a good morning and rush inside, dragging Kayla with me“Who and what the hell is that Kayla and why the hell did he call me Queen?” I felt flustered, excitedly embarrassed about how I acted.“Well, that would be Alpha Zach” she doesn’t get a chance to say anything else as the door opens and Max walks inside with Alpha Zach and his men. Max eyes us warily but doesn’t utter a word.Alpha Zach greets Kayla “It has been a long time Kayla” a smile spreads across Kayla’s face and she giggle

Max’s POVI couldn’t stand how close he was to Charlie and the growl came frome somewhere deep inside me, warning him to get away from my mate. As he moves away I see the wound to Charlie’s stomach, the burn marks already healing and her skin slowly knitting together but she was unconscious.I didn’t think Kiwi was still able to use her powers but I was clearly wrong, even as Kayla and I dragged her back to her room she was screaming, kicking and trying to throw small purple balls of mist at us. She had taken out two of the guards but thankfully they were already recovering and healing quickly.I couldn’t shout or punish Kiwi, she just wasn’t capable of understanding what she was doing, although she kept calling Charlie a murderous cow over and over.Kayla asked me if she could stay with her for a while, it was a strange request but I agreed on one condition, that she does not kill Kiwi, she nods her head and I pull the

Alexander’s POVWith both Max and Charlie gone, it left just Kayla and me. I was uncomfortable being here with my rejected mate and I am sure she felt the same way. The Moon Goddess really had a lot to answer too.“I’m sorry Alex” her voice is high pitched and squeaky and one of her blonde locks drops out of the messy bun and falls over her face.“Don’t call me that Kayla” The only person that I wanted to call me Alex was CharlieShe drops her eyes “It was never supposed to be this way, I was never meant to fall in love” she peers at me through her long eyelashes. I knew exactly what she was doing, all the girls I had been with in the past were exactly the same.“I’m sorry Kayla but I love Charlie” there was that dark flash in her eyes again“You are not mated to Charlie, you are mated to me”, she follows me as I leave the room and runs to keep up with my lar
