Going to Rivera City

Quinn July arrived at Asher’s house, just in time to see him about to enter his car.

“Asher,” he called.

Asher paused and shifted his unfriendly gaze to him.

“I’ve found her,” he added.

Soon, the two could be seen inside a private plane, heading to Rivera.

The space was filled with silence that could send one insane. None wanting to speak first. The silence lasted for minutes before Quinn July sighed and uttered.

“I’m sorry.”

Asher, who was leaning on his seat with eyes closed, didn’t respond.

“I know you can hear me. My sister was wrong. You don’t have to forgive her if you don’t want to, but please, be lenient with her.”

“Call off the wedding,” Asher requested languidly without opening his eyes.

Quinn July stayed silent for a while before nodding. “Alright, it will be canceled.”

After a few moments of awkward silence, Quinn July changed the topic. “It seems you’ve been planning for a long time to pin the crime on Lucian. What if it fails?”

“It mustn’t fail,” Asher slowly
