Tracy's hand shakily reached for the door's knob leading to Asher's ward. Her heart raced wildly as the door creaked open.

She took a step in and almost immediately, a surprised squeal left her lips.

Her legs almost gave way, but luckily, she regained her composure and hurried to the bed where the lean figure lay with his eyes wide open.

"Asher" She cried out softly caressing his hair. He was awake.

Meanwhile, Asher's face was as still as a statue, he hardly blinked or changed his line of focus.

Tracy rained multiple kisses on his face but that still didn't generate any reaction from him. There were several questions running wild in her head that needed to be answered.

"Asher..can you hear me? it's me your mum" She reminded him taking his hand in hers.

She brought his hand to her lips and began sobbing.

Now she had a new ray of hope. He was awake and that was all that mattered to her.
