View MoreA young blonde lady rushed into the hospital hallways frantically searching for the ward her dad was currently staying at..
She received a call a while ago about his health deteriorating rapidly and had to drop everything she was doing to get here on time.. She crashed into a nurse who was coming out of a ward and knocked out the stainless tray off her hand. "Olivia Parker right?" The nurse who was on a pink colored uniform asked hastily to see the young girl nod in affirmation.. "Y..yeah..my dad.. The nurse moved aside granting Olivia entrance into the ward.. Olivia pushed the door open and ran in, when she got in her heart dropped to the pit of her stomach.. She stood rooted to the ground watching how her mum struggled with the doctor and nurses who were trying to move the lifeless body covered with a white sheet.. "He's not dead..he promised never to leave us behind..don't take him away!" Sandy Parker yelled out giving a fit as they tried to move her husband's body out of the ward. Tears streamed down Olivia's eyes, she couldn't bring herself to accept that her beloved dad was gone after everything she and her mum did to save his life.. There was a loud thunderbolt that rocked the sky at that moment which meant it was about to rain, the lights in the ward flickered continuously further igniting the sparks in her amber eyes.. Olivia took a step backward and then another before she bolted out of the room, she couldn't stand it, she couldn't bear to see her dad's body, she felt like she was at fault for everything that was happening to them... She moved as fast as her legs could carry her, Olivia wasn't sure where she was heading to at this late hour but she felt disappointed in herself and she couldn't bring herself to face her mum at this critical time.. *** Meanwhile... The doctor stared briefly at the two men who stood before him, he returned his gaze back to the young man they brought before to him.. "I'm sorry but this is not treatable..he was given a heavy dose of aphrodisiac.. and you know what that mean right?" The doctor murmured obviously uncomfortable by the subject and the presence of the men before him. The two muscular men who looked like bodyguards glanced briefly at each other and gave a short nod.. The doctor shook his head and left the ward in a hurry leaving them alone.. They stared back at their young master whose knuckles has started turning white and he looked really uncomfortable, his face glistered with sweat that rolled down his neck, left with no other choice the guards both left the ward.. *** Olivia held the walls for support, her mind was clouded with various thoughts on what would become of she and her mother now that her dad was no more.. Thinking of it alone was enough to shatter her heart into a million pieces.. Maybe if she hadn't bugged him about the camping trip where he unfortunately met with an accident, he might still be with her.. A soft gasp escaped her lips when she raised her head to see two huge men glaring down at her, she swallowed and moved to the other side and to her surprise they blocked her path again.. She turned back briefly and noticed that the hall was empty, she snapped her gaze back to them nervously.. They looked dangerous emitting a deadly aura, especially the one with a scar that ran across his face.. "Who..are you?" In a blink of an eye, a palm was placed over her mouth to stop her from screaming and alerting the attention of others.. She kicked and wriggled her body trying to break free from their hold, but who was she kidding? she was a feather compared to their strength.. *** The two men pushed her into a dark ward and locked the door behind them.. "Do you think this will work?" "let's hope" They both stood by the side of the door guarding it and looking out for whoever wants to trespass. Olivia banged the door behind her, the room was dark and she couldn't fathom what made them lock her in here.. A loud thunderbolt rocked through the sky further accompanied by a blue lightening that illuminated the room a bit and that was when she realized that she was not alone.. Her eyes rounded in fright, her feet stood rooted to the ground trembling.. "Who's.. there?" She asked nervously, her heart beat was so loud that she could hear it herself. A tall dark figure emerged from a corner in the ward, he staggered a bit as he walked to the fidgeting lady few metres away from him. Fear engulfed her whole being, she swiftly turned to the door to run out but was pulled back by the stranger. Her back touched the wall the next instant and a soft gasp escaped her lips.. He pulled her chin up with his hands and crashed his lips against hers, Olivia felt her body weakened under his sudden assault on her lips.. She tried to peel away from his grip but he was stronger, his hands were firmly around her.. "Please let..me..go" She trembled trying to push him off.. In a swift motion, he swiped her off her feet and moved towards the bed present in the ward.. "Don't struggle.." his husky voice made her shudder, she could smell the faint scent of alcohol coming from him.. "I'll take responsibility" he mumbled once more and took her lips once more.. Tears streamed down from Olivia's eyes when she felt her clothes being ripped off her body.. "I promise to be gentle" his assuring voice came again. *** Olivia opened her eyes slowly, she looked around her surroundings and her eyes rounded.. Her heart leaped out of her chest recalling what happened few hours ago.. She pulled the man's hands off her waist and climbed down from the bed in fright, she just gave her first time to a complete stranger.. She picked up her clothes that were torn apart but was still manageable.. Olivia wore back her clothes, she glanced briefly at the man who lay on the bed still sound asleep, she tried to take a look at his face but stopped when she heard some commotion just right outside the door.. She gave up the thought and bolted out of the room, the guards who saw her running off tried to stop her but she was long gone.. "Wait a minute ma'am.. it's late.. *** Sandy's eyes were swollen from crying all throughout the night, she was also worried that her daughter was nowhere to be found all through the previous night.. The door suddenly pushed open and Olivia nervously walked in.. "Mum I.. Sandy's eyes teared up once more, she rested her gaze to her daughter who was fidgeting before her.. "before your dad passed away, he kept demanding to see you..but you were so busy that you didn't show up to hear his last words" Olivia raised her head to meet her mum's burning gaze. "Mum..it's not what you're thinking, I was there but I.. Sandy's gaze fell on Olivia's neck, Olivia who noticed where her mum's gaze was directed at adjusted her collar a bit to conceal the hickey on her neck .. After what happened between she and the unknown man at the hospital last night, she couldn't bring herself to come home that way.. So she had to stop by at her friend's house in the middle of the night where she passed the night.. Sandy took a step forward to Olivia, she pulled open Olivia's collar and her gaze fell on the numerous hickeys from her neck to her chest.. Olivia's eyes watered "Mum I can explain.. A slap landed on her left cheek which made her face fall to the other side.. "I see you were having a good time while your dad was busy waiting for your arrival..I can't believe that you'd actually do this Olivia!" Olivia sniffed back, tears flowed down her eyes like endless streams, she didn't miss the look of disappointment that crossed her mother's face.. "Mum please listen to me... Sandy turned around and left the room, she just lost her husband and now her daughter was already driving her insane.. Olivia fell to her knees, she clutched her chest crying her eyes out, who would have thought that a day like this will befall her? A young girl about her age rushed up to her and pulled her into a tight soothing embrace.. "I'm so sorry Olivia please don't cry anymore" Bianca, Olivia's best friend cooed but her words didn't seem to have any impact rather it only made Olivia feel worse...Despite all that had happened to Tracy in the last few weeks, she was smart enough to understand that revenge wouldn't help her out at all. She pulled her gaze off the large screen showing the live footage of Damien and Olivia's wedding. That should have been her daughter smiling so brightly on the screen, but the latter messed up her chances. If only Olivia hadn't come into the picture, maybe everything would still be intact and in place. The Brown's wouldn't have been broken apart like it had. Taking a huge deep breath, she gripped the handle of the wheelchair where a dazed looking Asher sat. The doctor said he was still in shock of whatever had happened around him but it's been days since he woke up and the only word he uttered was "Olivia" Tracy wasn't oblivious to the fact that Asher had something for Olivia. "Your dad and Rihanna has chosen their own path, I think it's time we get going and start our lives afresh" They had to catch the fastest flight to Florida w
Few days later.. The most awaited day in the city came by so fast. The day were the two souls were finally going to be joined together by the sacred bonds of marriage. A majestic church was transformed into a breathtakingly opulent wedding wonderland. The stained glass windows adorned with intricate stone carvings filtered the sunlight casting kaleidoscopic patterns across the polished marbled floor covered with a plush white carpet runner embroidered with gold thread. Garlands of lush greenery and exotic white flowers which included, roses, orchids, and gardenias entwined the wooden pews leading up to the altar. The air was sweet with the scent of blooming flowers. All these extravagant decor had everything to do with Anita Sterling, the most joyous soul on earth. She had been anticipating this day so much if not more than the couple and finally it was here. As the orchestra's strings swelled, the congregation rose. Their faces turned toward the back of the church. Th
Alexa took a glance at Hardin seated next to her in the car when he didn't make any attempt to step out of the car. Today, her older brother had summoned her to the Sterling's ancestral home for an urgent meeting, and she had taken advantage of that opportunity to introduce Hardin to her family. Except that the latter was feeling nervous about this meeting. Hardin knew that he had to face his girl's family sooner than later. He wasn't scared of meeting them but rather be was scared that they might look down on him because of the huge gap between their status. Or worse they might shoo him away from Alexa which he wouldn't be able to bear. Alexa's hand fell on his palm fisted on his lap. She gave it a soft reassuring squeeze. "Trust me. Everything will be fine. My brother might seem tough but he is actually soft hearted on the inside and my dad isn't much of a trouble either" Hardin released a deep breath, he casted her a glance. "And your mum? There's still enough time
Tracy's hand shakily reached for the door's knob leading to Asher's ward. Her heart raced wildly as the door creaked open. She took a step in and almost immediately, a surprised squeal left her lips. Her legs almost gave way, but luckily, she regained her composure and hurried to the bed where the lean figure lay with his eyes wide open. "Asher" She cried out softly caressing his hair. He was awake. Meanwhile, Asher's face was as still as a statue, he hardly blinked or changed his line of focus. Tracy rained multiple kisses on his face but that still didn't generate any reaction from him. There were several questions running wild in her head that needed to be answered. "Asher..can you hear me? it's me your mum" She reminded him taking his hand in hers. She brought his hand to her lips and began sobbing. Now she had a new ray of hope. He was awake and that was all that mattered to her. *** Olivia sat on her bed reading a book in the peace and quietness of Damien's r
Bianca flashed a smile at the kind receptionist who led her to the door leading to Xander's office... Her hubby must have been working his ass off and had probably forgotten to have breakfast before coming to the office and it was certain that he might skip lunch too. But not on her watch. She had decided to pay a surprise visit to him today by coming over to his company with his lunch. She pushed the door open and stepped in with all smiles.. "Hey, Mr Gray I see you're busy." Xander was startled at her sudden familiar and chirpy voice, he snapped his head up from his PC to her. She plunged to the chair in front of his large desk with a broad grin on her face placing two takeouts on his desk. From her facial expression he got that she was excited to see him. "Wow! I wasn't expecting you to show up. You startled me for a second there" She sprang up to her feet and walked around the desk heading to him, once she drew close enough she stood behind him and leaned dow
All throughout the ride back home Damien's hand never left Olivia's tummy no matter how many times she made jest of him. He just couldn't contain his happiness and the same goes to Olivia. "Don't you think you are overreacting?" Olivia inquired arching a brow. She wasn't complaining or anything, it was just it felt weird for him to caress her flat tummy. "Come on. I wasn't there for you when you were pregnant with Kelvin. The least I could do is to make sure that I'm always by your side from now henceforth" Olivia sighed in defeat, she tilted her head by the side till it fell on his shoulder. "As you wish Mr Sterling" *** Hardin wiped off small food crumbs by the corner of Alexa's lips using his thumb. He took the dirty dishes along with him to the kitchen. "You don't have to do the dishes. I can manage on my own" Alexa lazily offered running her palm on her stomach. "Nah. it's nothing much" It's been a while since she last ate a really nourishing homemade foo
Damien and Olivia waited patiently for the results of the test carried out. The result was said to be ready in the next thirty minutes. "Are you sure you aren't feeling any discomfort?" He asked worriedly. Olivia's face fell for the umpteenth time in a row, Damien had been bugging her with that same question over and over again. "Yes. My ears are about to be blown off by you. I told you already right? I'm fine quit worrying yourself for nothing" Damien chuckled at her response, he brought his hand to her blonde hair stroking it lovingly. "I can't help but worry about you honey" Olivia flashed him a look of surprise, he just addressed her as 'Honey' and surprisingly it sounded right to her ears. Luckily for Olivia who was gradually burning in red color, the door opened and a doctor stepped into his office while a nurse followed behind him. He took his seat behind his large brown desk filled with some papers clipped together and his name tag. "Mr Sterling. I'm deepl
Hardin pulled away from Alexa after a few seconds of their lips locking. He cupped her face in his hands while his eyes never left hers for a second. Her face was expressionless and he noticed that she didn't reciprocate to his advances. Or furthermore, she wasn't interested in him like he was in her. The thought of that shattered his heart into a million tiny pieces. Maybe this had something to do with the huge gap in their status. But at this point, nothing mattered to him any longer except the lady standing close to him. Whether she accepted him or not, he had decided to pour out his feelings. She hadn't said a word neither had she blinked or make the slightest of movement. Perhaps, she was still in a state of shock, which was very true. Although this wasn't the first time Hardin had kissed her, but this kiss which lasted for a few seconds felt entirely different. Her heart thumped wildly wondering why he did that. Different questions and assumptions filled her mind leavin
The once messy apartment which belonged to Alexa was made spotless and neat after a few hours of cleaning by Hardin.. He picked up the trashcan and proceeded to the living room where some of her dresses and socks were littered. A few empty packs from various snacks covered the table in the midst of the mini living room. "How come I never noticed any of this whenever I come in here?" He questioned no one in particular.. After taking out the thrash from the table, his eyes caught sight of a thin strip paper like object lying lazily on the table.. Hardin's brows furrowed, from the two clear red lines flashing before his eyes, he already knew what this was. He picked it up examining it closely, this was a pregnancy strip. And worse of it all, it was showing two lines which meant that it was positive. Was Alexa pregnant? if not what was it doing in her apartment? Meanwhile.. A smile carved on Alexa's sleeping face when a mouth watering aroma filled her nostrils. She stir
