Chapter Sixty Six

Adriana's POV.

I checked everything I wanted to take to the hospital.

I tasted the food I prepared to give my mom again, before scooping it into a food flask.

I put everything in the backpack I planned to take with me.

Massimo gave me permission to visit my mom and I needed to know how she's faring.

I sighed in relief when I reached the entrance of the hospital, but still my heart thudded against my chest when my eyes landed on her room. I took a deep breath, and opened the door.

I glared at the bodyguards who followed me due to Massimo's orders.

I didn't want them joining me inside the room, so I left them outside. I hesitated for a few seconds as I walked inside.

My mom looked more healthy, her face lit up immediately she saw me, I rushed immediately to her side.

She smiled. "Mom," I whispered.

"What are you doing here?" She murmured, looking at all my stuff which I brought with me.

I frowned in a joking manner, "I'm here to visit."
