Chapter Seventy One

Adriana's POV.

I was shivering as I waited for a doctor to help him.

I sighed in relief when I heard footsteps, I could see the doctor and nurse rushing towards him.

The nurses carried him up and I followed them immediately, I stood outside waiting for them to finish.

The thought of losing Massimo made my head throb painfully.

I began pacing the room, biting my nails.

Massimo's surgery would be tonight but I couldn't sleep at all.

The bullet had to be taken out, and that meant a whole host of complications like sepsis or blood clots, or worse.

He could die. My beautiful man could die on me.

I shook my head, getting rid of the negative thoughts, he wouldn't die if they removed the bullet.

The doctor was really good, he’ll have no problems removing it.

I kept pacing the room, my headache increasing, my hands were beginning to tremble slightly.

I bit my lip anxiously, I was scared, so very scared.

My eyes began watering and I clenched my jaw as I continued to pace nervously.
