Max couldn't stay still. He had to determine who was in the lake with him and unconscious in his room. Which of the two is the honest Ivory?

He repeatedly just paced back and forth while wringing his hair in frustration. He didn't understand why everything was so odd, and he never imagined it would happen to him.

Max asked himself and even Mirielle several times. However, he didn't get any answers.

"Elle, tell me what you saw. What's your gut feeling, Elle?" urged Max, who was getting impatient because of the strange things that had happened in his life recently.

He couldn't be sure when. It could have been a long time ago, but he only realized it now because it's been a while since he understood who he was. Max had just accepted the strange fact that he was not an ordinary human but a member of the wolf race.

And Ivory ... did that girl have a power like Mirielle that could instantly shift places?

Mirielle shook her head. She also did not understand if there was a mistake in her visi

Max was attending a meeting with the board of directors, one of whom was his father, William Reynz. Max still had a problem with William that he needed to solve. At least William helped Linea to leave and move to another division because Max had run out of ideas to get rid of the woman. When the meeting was over, Max followed William to his room. William knew that his son was in a state of anxiety. A lot had happened recently, and William didn't know how to deal with it. Ivory was still acting strange, especially at night. She would come to Max's room or wherever the man went. Ivory can't seem to get enough of what they've made love for and hopes Max will bring her back to the peak of pleasure like before. It seemed impossible that Ivory was in love. Because during the day, she turned into the Ivory that Max knew—the Ivory who was rude when talking to him, and Max didn't care about that. He made Ivory his partner not because of love but a necessity from nowhere. "What brings you

"Elle, do something! Why can't Ivy come in?" Max was worried because Ivory had been outside while he had entered the dome, and Mirielle was trying to bring Ivory in with them. However, Mirielle's efforts were unsuccessful because her power could not lie. She suspected that something had happened so that Ivory could not penetrate the protective dome she had made.Mirielle walked away, leaving Ivory still outside, not knowing what happened until Mirielle acted as if she didn't care about her, who might be in danger. However, Max could not remain silent. He chased Mirielle into the house and grabbed his twin sister's arm."Elle, what are you doing? Ivy is still outside, and it will be hazardous for her if Benjamin's men find her! Do you know that?" he snarled. However, Mirielle did not seem to care. Not unconcerned. Actually, Mirielle was thinking with her logic why Ivory could not penetrate the dome, while the spell she cast was to protect their neighborhood from evil things and magic.

Max, of course, couldn't refuse when Amethyst made him an offer that was entirely unfavorable to him. Max also didn't understand why he was so adamant about wanting Ivory. Was it because he had made love to her?Not really. Max was a casanova who had felt that from many women. And he repented when he was with Linea. Linea could say she was the unluckiest woman in the world because she had never had sex with Max.Max walked into his office with shaky steps. And when Linea greets him, he's in an even worse mood.Linea didn't let up even though Max had kicked her out, even rudely."Why are you still here?" Max asked and rubbed his throbbing forehead. He didn't understand; what else did he have to deal with? Wasn't one woman enough to complicate his life? He didn't want another one."Max ... why are you still rude to me? I miss you and want to be with you. Is that wrong?" Linea replied in a slightly sulking voice, hoping Max would be a little kinder to her."I just don't understand. You c

Ivory woke up with pain in several parts of her body. Max was going crazy, as if he wanted Ivory. It was all true. Max did want Ivory for himself, her body, and her soul. However, what that man did every night was genuinely horrible.Would all wolves commit such a brutal act of copulation if they were in heat? Or was it just Max because he wanted Ivory too much and didn't want to let her go?Not just once, several times, and almost every night, Max would come to the girl and make love to her, and Ivory didn't know if she should call their activity 'making love', because there seemed to be no love in it.Max just seemed to want to express his lust for Ivory, and sometimes that's how Ivory felt too.Let's say they were both even. But still, every time Ivory thought about it, her chest ached. And this was the night Max came to see her again. Ivory's face had paled. Being Max's handpicked partner for a while didn't seem to be a pleasant thing. If what Benjamin did to Ivory was slavery, th

Ivory and Max were silent during the trip. Many things filled their respective heads about what they had just experienced. Max, who witnessed how Ivory was in front of doctor Alister, was now uneasy because he was burning with jealousy. While Ivory, the umpteenth time meeting Seth, the man who has managed to change her life for the better, must accept a statement that she did not expect at all from the man. Does Seth think asking Ivory to stay with him will make her look back? Then it hurts again because Ivory knows that Seth only wants her not to be owned by someone else while he has been owned. That woman was fortunate, according to Ivory, because she managed to captivate Seth's heart, who was always kind to all women. Ivory didn't expect that the story between her and Seth, which had never been intertwined, would eventually become more complicated, like a tangled thread. "Why have you been silent since before?" asked Max, who was starting to tire of the silence between them. He

Ivory wandered into each of the rooms in the building she currently occupied. She couldn't believe she had to go through life alone without Max or anyone to keep her company. She didn't want to be alone anywhere. The existence of Max and Mirielle for some time since they freed her from Benjamin made her think that there are still humans who usually act and live life well even though they are not human. And they are the Reynz family and Alsen and their flock.Ivory still remembered how Benjamin treated her. Sweet, even too sweet for her to believe as a reality. And the other side that she did not accept was Benjamin's life, which never even showed how his family was, who he was in front of his father and mother.Benjamin is a human, but he is even stranger than Max and his family.Isn't that right? No, it was not like that. Ivory didn't know who Benjamin was, and Max hadn't had the chance to tell her everything yet.Ivory only knew that Benjamin was the most influential man in Eastonvi

"Elle, can't you stop and tell me what happened to Ivy?" urged Max, blocking Ivory and Gabriella's steps as he had no idea where they were headed. They looked so anxious and hurried. What the hell was going on? Max didn't even get an answer to his question from earlier. "Max, let Gabriella do her job first, okay? Now you calm down and—hey, Max!" Max broke through the portal Mirielle had created with her powers and followed Gabriella somewhere. Of course. They had now arrived at the underwater base where Max had left Ivory. Did something happen to Ivory? That question kept echoing in Max's head. He couldn't help himself when he arrived there and found Ivory lying on the floor, curled up as if in extreme pain. Her face was so pale, and her skin felt ice cold. "Ivy, what happened to you?" The girl opened her eyes slowly, then caressed Max's jaw with her weak hand. "M-Max ... are you here? What are you—uh!" "Ivy, Ivy! What happened? Are you sick?" asked Max, filled with anxiety

The news Gabriella gave Ivory and Max was indeed good and even amazing. Just imagine that in one birth, they will have three babies. It's a rare occurrence and something extraordinary. However, that doesn't seem to be how Max feels, as he is now plagued with deep anxiety. It was only natural that it happened because he was worried about Ivory's condition. No wonder the girl was so weak and helpless because there were not only one but three babies at once that she would carry throughout her pregnancy. Maybe even the nature of the three babies will be a problem later. Will Ivory remain as usual, or will she be affected by the characters of her three babies? "Are you okay?" asked Max, which he realized was a silly question whose answer must be the same question from Ivory. Of course, Ivory was also confused, not knowing if she was okay after discovering she was carrying three babies. She really couldn't imagine that. "Can you believe it? Three babies, Max! As Doctor Avery said, it's

A few years later..."Do you believe that, Max? Look at our children! They're eighteen now and—oh! Did you go through this too? What age did you turn into an adult?" asked Ivory when she realized the twins, Isaac and Mackenzie, had turned eighteen at five.Max laughed at Ivory's innocent comment. He then took her in his arms and gave her a quick peck on the lips. "At the age of three, I turned eighteen and underwent training from grandpa to accept his title as an alpha Alsenic pack. Didn't you experience that?""Do I look like a magical human like you guys?" asked Ivory, which was answered with laughter by Max."Well, that means we're very far apart in age. You should be older than me. Is that right?" Ivory nodded, then turned to Isaac and Mackenzie, who had finished breakfast. "But the fact is, you're still stunning as you're not aging.""I'm old now, Max." Ivory smiled and turned back to her children.Today both of them would enter the university. Maneuvering-it was not challenging to dodge Seth's attacks which gradually began to slow down."What's wrong with you? Why are you so slow? You can't even scratch me a little!" Ronan laughed in amusement. Once again, he shot two pairs of arrows."SHUT UP! It's useless! This arrow attack of yours won't be able to paralyze me!"DUARR!!!Ronan leaped high in the air, spun around, free-falling onto the fire-filled ground, and landed with both

"Now, what do you want?" asked Linea, hardening her tone. She screamed angrily. "I've followed all your orders! You said you wanted to get Ivy's blood to strengthen our power?! Why are you holding her captive now?! You said to build a mansion, especially for this woman?! Have you gone mad?! You broke your promise, Seth!"Seth laughed bitterly. He was still gripping Ivory's body in his arms. They slowly walked backward. "Who do you think you are, Linea?! Controlling or controlling me?! I told you many times not to be silly! We did everything as agreed, remember?! This is my goal! Getting Ivy back."Ivory hissed in disgust as Seth licked the recesses of her neck. It felt like she wanted to kick Seth's ass right now, but what power did she have. Seth's strength was too strong to resist. The more Ivory rebelled-the more Seth strangled her.Linea shook her head. Tears began to flood, stomping her feet in anger like a sledgehammer. Linea was hysterical while numb. "You're a liar! Then, what

"This is my chance," Ivory said in a half-whisper. "There is no more time. I need to see Benjamin right away."Ivory held her babies until they fell asleep. She was carrying and laying Mackenzie and Isaac in their cribs. Ivory's sigh sounded full of heaviness. She had considered it, thinking about Benjamin's words earlier with a long decision. It led Ivory to the absolute path, agreeing to her deal with Benjamin. Ivory knew her decision was crazy. Triggering Max's most enormous anger, but what's the power? Ivory had no choice but to save Lyra's life and her little family and end this grueling war."I'm sorry, babies. I'm just tired of all this bloodshed, fighting, and endless infighting. Maybe through my sacrifice, this war can be stopped. All Seth wants is me, not Lyra. Suppose giving myself up can save everything. Then my decision is worth it." Ivory murmured, rubbing the tops of Isaac and Mackenzie's heads. "I don't know what will happen after I turn myself in. "Are you sure? Don't you have anything to say?" asked Max, whose words seemed to go straight into Ivory's heart. Max looked at Ivory tenderly, stroking her beautiful Lunar face lovingly. "I've always believed in you, Ivy. But it feels like there's something you're hiding from me, right?"It felt like there was a thorn in Ivory's throat. It was the umpteenth time Max had asked that question. As an eternal partner, Max probably thought it. Then, Ivory smiled widely. She shook her head lightly. Not tired of showing the same big-hearted attitude. "What do you mean? I don't understand what you're talking about. I've said it many times to you. I'm fine. Just tired of all this. You know it's draining my mind as well as my energy."Max knelt before Ivory and kissed the back of her hand warmly. "Take it easy. Soon this will be over. That's why I planned all this carefully. This battle is our final line to get rid of Seth and Linea forever. If they were left alone, it would only bring us suffer

"Swear to death, Ivy. In the name of my ancestors, I have no intention of hurting or harming you! I am here to talk about Lyra!" said Benjamin, still raising his hands. "I will not go near your baby. I swear."Ivory growled in exasperation. She remembered the conversation about Benjamin's deal with Seth and Linea. How could she trust this traitorous vampire? Benjamin was here to fulfill his deal, to draw Ivory's blood. He must have wanted to hurt and harm her."You, Seth, and Linea are the same!" pointed Ivory with a hateful snarl. She even turned to threaten Benjamin. "You are no different from them. Don't you dare mention Lyra's name! She is my daughter. Lyra will return to me safely. Your plan will fail! You won't be able to take her far or snatch her from me! You can't take Lyra! Step over my corpse first!""For Lyra's safety, I would do anything, Ivy. "Much better?" asked Max, gripping Ivory's fingers tightly. Max looked at Ivory's beautiful face closely. Lately, she often looks pale as cotton. Ivory slept poorly at night, exacerbated by her reduced appetite; her body weight had dropped dramatically. This made Max very worried about her."At least, after hearing Amethyst. Much lighter." Ivory nodded, smiled faintly, and sighed heavily. "About Elle, shouldn't we get moving? I don't know why I don't feel good, Max. I have a bad feeling. I can't stop thinking about Elle and Lyra in such a way. I'm so afraid something will happen to them. Elle hasn't reconnected her mind link to me yet. She must be in trouble over there.
