137. Too Painful

Seeing Alice wince in pain, Lucas rushed to hold her arm. "Alice, are you okay?"

"No!" Alice rejected his touch, taking a step back. But her balance was disturbed. She quickly grabbed onto the table. While looking down, she caught her breath.

“Turn it off …. Turn it off now!”

Lucas was caught indilemma. He didn't know whether to stick to the plan or prioritize Alice's safety.

Realizing she couldn't rely on Lucas, Alice grabbed the phone. Unfortunately, Elizabeth was pushing her in the recording. Watching it, her head grew dizzier.

"Aaargh ...."

"Alice?"

Again, Alice raised her hand, indicating for Lucas not to touch her. Her eyes were closed tightly. Her lips curled into a painful grin. But the dizziness in her head only got worse. Faintly, another sound began to echo.
