Alex paced back and forth in Danielle's apartment, his mind racing with worst-case scenarios. Her phone was unreachable, and her house was scattered, as if she had left in a hurry. (Back to the Past.)Very early in the wee hours of the morning, Lucas wakes up in the chair and sees that he's been tied up with a long rope.It doesn't take him long to see that it's a joint of long ties that seemed terribly familiar and also that he's been locked in what used to be his own former room before he moved out to start his own life, away from home.He fiddles with the ties with his tied hands as well and sees that they were tied quite well and he can't even figure out where the actual final knot is since there are knots after every single tie.He gives up in about thirty minutes of struggling to find and lose any of the knots at all but he doesn't succeed.He leans back in the chair and takes a deep breath of his own room. Lily steps out of the police station and shields her eyes from the blinding sun that she hasn't seen for the last two days.In detention, waiting for the officer to come get her every two or three hours for exhaustive interrogations that she had always said the same thing over and over in. Thankfully, her parents had sent her a lawyer on the first day and he had let her know that no matter how much they question her, no matter how much pressure they put on her, they can't retain her for more than forty eight hours, that's two days, they can't keep her locked up for more than two days without finding some conclusive evidence with which they can charge her to court.And she had banked on that kept to her story...He had been an abuser of women, who had beat her so much that she's got those purple scars all over her body. They had asked about the previous scars since all the ones there seemed to be newly gotten and she'd said he really gives her scars only when deals don't come through,

Thankfully, the taxi drops her right off at the specific estate location and she gets off. There's even a bit of spare change left and in her good mood, she leaves it to the taxi driver to keep as a tip which he half heartedly thanks her for before driving away.She walks into the estate since just not any car can drive in there.
